Didnt want to buy too many of any one kind, in case bean doesnt get on with them. Would be typical to buy a load and then find i have to buy more of a different kind.
I'm planning on freezing in the bags as they are more space efficient, and then feeding from bottles, so not too worried about shape/size of bottles in the freezer.

I wasn't planning on using the medela for feeding, more for storage, but the bags probably seem like a better idea, hmmm. Will have to get some now, how exactly do you get the milk into them? (that's probably a really stupid question)

  • Got the chance to read back a bit today and posted my birth story on the other thread (I'll warn you, it's almost a novel!)

Things are going OK here, well OK during the day and not so great at night. She's got herself into a bit of a routine today after being a bit random up to this point during the day, but nightimes have been almost hellish at times. Feels like I'm constantly feeding and not getting the break of her sleeping afterwards. I;ve been in the living room every night so far so OH can get some sleep in bed, and I've got everything around me. I've averaged about an hour and a half upto about 1am, then probably half an hour for the rest of the night which makes it drag like hell. Have been getting 1 or 2 naps of an hour or 2 during the day which has been helping, but this morning I felt like absolute death so had a little cry when I went up for my morning nap. The rest of the day has been a bit better as she has been almost textbook with feeding/sleeping so have had a couple of extra naps so I feel almost human now. Hopefully she will carry on into tonight and I can catch up some more and might even make it into bed!

Hope everyone is managing OK with their aches and pains and the boldies are having some action!

Hello ladies. Midwife came round yesterday. Lots of paper work took bloods to send off and wee. Left me a few leaflets about screening and hospital contacts etc. But no emmas diary, books. or bounty packs or vouchers. So quite disappointed really! I was looking forward to being left things to read but guess I won't now lol. Next step is to get off my form for my mat card. How long does it take to come back? And then its scan time in about 3 1/2 weeks time. Although waiting on a date for that from hospital now.
