All the baby clothes we have, have now been washed, dried (all in the tumble dryer, and they've come out lovely, even without using any fabric softener in the wash...) and folded/put away. I feel much better for having got that done.

Pip has been lovely and wriggly today. It worried me yesterday as s/he was very quiet but they've certainly made up for it today!

I'm going to talk to my manager tomorrow morning about potentially finishing work sooner rather than later, depending on what my blood pressure is like when I go to the midwife on friday...

Good luck BM, but boo to you having some action as there has been a bit fat nothing for me so far! I always thought I was quite patient and good at waiting but maybe not in this scenario.

Had 2 curries this weekend and have been bouncing on ball for the last 2 hours, think I'll just give up with that old wives stuff and just let it happen (easier said than done though!)

its kinda scary to know that this is my last night in my house without a baby. i dont know if im sad or excited about it. kinda nervous about tomorrow and am thinking im going to be an absolute cow in labour.

ive been told by the diabetic team that i am having a glucose drip in my hand all through it, but now on thinking about it i dont want to do that, i want to be able to move and go to the loo if needed as sod having an epidural asap what if i need a poo i would like to hold onto some dignity for as long as possible.

do you think the midwives will be annoyed with me if i tell them im not having the drip put in and it can wait till later in labour?

Hi all, good luck BM and to everyone who may be on their way too :-)

Was writing a basic birth plan earlier and am stuck on what to do about delivery of the placenta.....anyone have any advice on this? Do most people have the injection straight away, cut and clamp the cord.....or do you wait for it to finish pulsating then injection cut and clamp....OR deliver it all naturally without injection at all? I really have no idea what I want to do.
