  • Good luck everyone :)

I've just attempted to go on the hospital tour, and am now feeling much more stressed than before :( Couldn't go into the labour ward bit as it was so full it had closed. They were sending people off to hospitals over an hour away, and that's happened twice in the last couple of weeks. The only part we saw a little bit of was the post natal ward, which looked pretty miserable. They have a couple of private rooms, which you can pay £58 a night for (and was not even as nice as my room when I was a student!), otherwise it's wards shared between 4 people. That was all packed full of people too, not a reassuring visit at all. Has anyone got any experiences of home births???

Ok, now I know why they're called exercise balls! :D I got mine in B&M, so it has no pump or attachment to go on a pump. All I can find that sort of fits is a needle attachment for footballs, that you have to hold tight and pump at the same time. I think it might take several attempts to get fully inflated, as it makes my bump ache.

    Good luck BM :)

Omg, I've just had a show!!!

Having quite string Braxton hicks all quite close together, don't think they are contractions as irregular in frequency and length and intensity...

    Trying not to panic!!

If baby comes on it's due date (tomorrow) it'll be the first time in my life I would've been on time!!

Good luck BM!! I bet you'll beat me! You should do, cos i'm not due yet, so i'd be queue jumping big time (but then again, i'm ludicrously earlier for everything!).
My little trickle of show hasnt been repeated yet, just got severe lower back ache and stiffness, and little twinges sporadically.

Wow Kira:) due date buddy, you may have a baby first! Exciting:)

Nothing much to report my end. Whenever i have any little twinge i think 'oh could this be it' but nothing going on!!
Does anyone know if the baby can still switch sides. She is head down but i'm sure i felt kicks in my right rib this morning, could off just been her stretching so be her back/bum. Now seem to getting kicks in the same place as before.

One of my books says that they pivot from side to side, head in same place and just wiggle their butts from left side to right. Finding optimum position, and wiggling down into place.
Especially in the evening, i see her butt move from one side of my tum to the other. Wierd looking having one side of my belly go flat, and the other stick out, and then switch.

BM- try not to do to much I read that babies can stop coming if you do to much as they don't feel it is a safe time to arrive. I have just had a few hours nap on the sofa. I really thought my baby would come today and nothing at all has happened! I am so disappointed I want her out the pain is getting a bit much. Can't breath ankles and hips hurt so bad

Cant say i`ve ever seen the babys bum move across, as all mine so far have been back to back! Hoping for a normal way round baby this time lol! Altho it is kinda cool watching their feet moving across the belly :)
Good luck to those due and anyone thats having signs its gonna happen soon!!

  • Thanks jj. That plan all went out the window... Think this is the real deal, ctx every 3.5-4 mins lasting 1 min. Have been rocking on the soda since about 4pm. Batch cooking and nipping out was totally unrealistic!!
