Morning Ladies and bumps!
We're off to the hospital today for a whole day of antenatal workshops... I think my brain might be a bit fried by the end of it all! McDonalds first for breakfast though, as long as OH gets his bum into gear and is ready on time, need to be at the hospital for 9.30!
Have a good Saturday!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Well he finally got in toucher at 12:30am - says he tried to call earlier in the night but that the call didnt connect - no reason why he didnt text. He didnt sound drunk but was tipsy. He says he will be up at 10am (yer right)
I definitley am anemic, I was in last pregnancy too. Just sick of taking tablets now I swear i rattle wehn i walk!
It's really frosty and slippy here - not sure if my new trainers will be better to grip or put on my "man-boots" (Timberland boots) or just hide inside
Its beginning to look a lot like winter . . . . come on flump, get out!!0 -

3+Hi everyone, i thought i would come and join this thread. I am 12 weeks pregnant today, due 23 June, but will be earlier as having c section. Had my scan on thursday and everything was ok with baby. I had a lot of stress to get my 12 week scan as i didn't get to see my midwife till last week and when i phoned the hospital on monday to check they had my referal, they said they had no appointments until january, as they only have one morning a week they do scans for out of area patients. After many phone calls and them looking in to it and my explaining that i had, had bleeding earlier on in the pregnancy and that i was meant to be having the downs screening that jan would be too late, as i would be over 15 weeks, they managed to fit me in on thursday.
I have ended up out of area, as where i live the mat unit came back at begining of this year but as they have joined up with another two hospitals, for my appointments there was no guarantee that i would be seen at my local hospital, i could end up having to travel a fair distance to one of the other hospitals and i have to be seen every four weeks, and as i don't drive at the moment (am learning) it would have been a few hours of traveling time to get to the hospital if it wasn't my local one. The one i am now under is going to take some travelling time but not as much as the ones my local hospital has joined up to, but still at least an hour.
Its a silly systemMarried 09/09/090 -
Morning All
Congratulations MSM and Mr_Knight :j:j!!!!
All those heading out today christmas shopping, antenatal workshops, to parents enjoy your day.
4nnabella - pack in work!! you need to rest!! feel your pain with the heartburn it was back with avengance last night ugggh a pint of hot chocolate probably did not help.
I have a cute piccie of dylan looking festive and groomed but having trouble as says file too big when trying to upload so will keep faffing.
Hubby got an earful, seems that he does not appear want to ensure mobile is on at all times 'cant gurantee' you can ring the office, 'no I bl:eek::eek:dy cant your phone should be on vibrate in meetings etc' his mobile is nothing but decoration... he's stressed, sometimes forgets to charge it  I know what he's at he hates phones but tough I am 34+4 'switch it on buster'......
Got iron results Gp rang basically in 4 wks has gone from 10.4 to 10.3 so dropped very slightly not low enough for infusions whatever but she would prefer if took something. So suggested can I keep with spatone and take the odd iron tablet when I can on days when dont take spatone. She knows that I wont take them properly (prescription is 3 a day!! not a chance) so its whatever I can do is better than nothing.
She is giving me lower dose tabs which are different version from what I had before.
She asked if having homebirth said no hospital as I understand if drops to 10 perhaps would affect homebirth but obviously I am still mildly anaemic so will see how I go. TBH I thought that the spatone was sort of 'holding' the line rather than increasing as bubs is clearly nicking the iron :rotfl:and thought that my gums etc looked pale.
Enjoy your weekend

Thank you for a lovely welcome and for the book and forum recommendations.
I wish everyone the very best. I've read up to page 402 and will go back, but in the meantime I have a couple of queries that I hope you can help with.
I am still slightly shocked by this pregnancy, now in week 8. My first MW appt is on Friday and I've just got my letter for the first scan... on 6 January. Am happy about this as OH will see bean and know it's for real, though he's enjoying the growing boobs right now!Currently I am wearing an underwired balcony bra, but OH thinks this might not be best. What's the idiot guide to bras in pregnancy?!
Finally, is there anywhere I can go to work out how benefits work. I've savings and not sure I'm entitled to anything, but I have no idea how maternity pay works as I'm partly self-employed and partly on temporary contract. I've been so self-sufficient that I've never had dealings with government finance stuff so am completely clueless on such things.
I also need to find somewhere else to live as I can't stay here with a baby. Not sure when to start looking. OH and I need to work out our living arrangements too... we currently don't live together and that works really well!
Gosh so much... anyway, one step at a time... what recommendations does anyone have for bras :rotfl:0 -
can i ask another random question?
Does anyone know if i need to take bottles and milk if i dont breastfeed to the hospital with me? I really want to breastfeed and did last time but with 8 days til my due date i still have no milk or leaking so i am wondering if maybe it wont happen.:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Morning!
Congrats on the new babies and welcome to the newbies!!
Until yesterday I wasn't really sure what Braxton hicks were, but got them all day and well into the evening. I woke up at about 4am with BH again though they were pretty painful - which has confused me as I thought they weren't supposed to hurt - and have been getting them on and off since. It's a bit like waves of period pains lasting about 10 seconds. I also think I'm a bit constipated which possibly isn't helping (sorry if tmi).... But also semi hoping this is the start of something!!
Not sure what to do today really, don't want to venture too far or see people but want to carry on as normal as much as poss because if this isn't "it" then it'll drive me potty as I'll really feel like the waiting game has begun!!
Happy weekend all, BM(39+5!) x
