I'm so grumpy today and have no idea why, it's like an extreme case of PMT.

Just put a lasagne in the oven, so looking forward to that, maybe once I've been fed I'll be more cheerful. Fell asleep earlier and asked OH to wake me up so I could take something to the post office and he didn't in time, so I missed out on sending and getting me a Starbucks! Grrrr.

On topic about sterilisers I bought the Tommee Tippee a. because of the nipple thing :rotfl: and because the bottles are so chunky, that if we don't get on with them, any other kind will fit in the steriliser.

Toniq Looks like we could still be almost due date buddies then

Ditto!! Seems to switch between pressure and shooting pains in both my actual bum (not cheeks) and my cervix.

I've been feeling pressure in my bum, for the past few days, and I'm not constipated before anyone asks :p

I ate a lovely chinese, but far too much.... feel tired and sick now!

The girl who served us had been on a few weeks ago when we were last there, and was surprised there was no baby- she made me promise to come back next week for a curry if no baby had shown... :)

  • I found out I was pregnant in June, and had already started my new job. In fact, the baby is due almost exactly 9 months after I started work... but everyone here has been great, really excited about it and very understanding :D Though they are slightly disappointed about me having a boy as they were apparantly looking forwards to buying lots of dresses ;)

i just hope my new work colleagues are as positive, i think i will only be there about 6 - 7 months before going on maternity leave, i am waiting on a CRB check so probably wont start new job till mid january.

ive only known i am pregnant for a week, it seems like forever till i can tell people.

This might sounds a silly question, but do you talk whilst they do your BP? Whilst PG, we have randomly discovered that if i speak AT ALL whilst they do my BP, i get a really high reading! The M/W's dont believe me at first, but a couple of times when they make me speak, i've ended up with readings around 148/88, which is too high- so they redo me without speaking and i drop back to around 120/72!

Might not be relevant to you, but thought i would mention it in case!

you are supposed to sit down five minutes and then stay silent while its being taken....i am a nutritional therapist and did blood pressure checks on a companies staff a few months ago...i would tell them to sit still and stay quiet but some would still talk to me.

some people have what they call white coat hypertension they get wound up when having to go see doctor and BP readings end up high

hello everyone! Hoping you can help someone out who's new to this pregnancy lark (7 weeks today).:D

It's my work Christmas meal in a couple of weeks and the place we're going does not have a choice of starter so everyone is having:

Bayonne Ham, Saucisson Sec, smoked duck breast with roquefort salad, served with provencale !!!!aladiere (don't know what that is!) with goats cheese and olives.

Is ANY of this safe for pregnant women? Are these all cured meats does anyone know? I presume the roquefort & goats cheese is off limits. It's only a small group of us so I can't ask for something else as everyone will notice (plus they know I'm def not a fussy eater!) I've got a great (and true!) excuse to avoid booze and can't believe I'm being tripped up by the s0dding starter!

    Thank you!

feel for you trying to keep it a secret , maybe make an excuss and turn up late to miss the starter
