  • Congratulations little angel. Love the name.

Just wanted to say if anyones going to Asda for newborn boxes, there was a voucher in one of the Bounty packs for £1 off dettol surface cleanser. It's on offer at the minute at £1 a bottle so free with voucher :)

I have a doppler, but with mine moving so much, it sounds like a wrestling match in there!

We had a doppler with DS2 but as he kept hiding we could never find him which was a bit worrying! He'll hear it next week when we have our consultant appointment after the growth scan. I'm bricking it about that appointment as I'm going to be doing battle with the consultant!!

Hello, is there anything other then gaviscon that the gp can prescribe for severe heartburn? I'm really suffering, i get a lot of acid type reflux with it aswell-making me almost throw up at night. Gaviscon really isn't helping at all-nor is changing my diet. I just seem to have heartburn literally 24 7 (same in my last pregnancy!).

    keely.

Yes there is hun, can't remember its name but I've got some and it really does help. Get an appointment asap - it's such a horrible thing to suffer with x

Have you heard whether the head midwife is on your side/coming with you?

She'll be there as she helps run the consultant's clinic at my local hospital. It's not the main one which I'll be giving birth in. As far as I know, she'll have a word with the consultant before I go in then she will come in with me as an advocate. I've got to email my midwife with my arguments and she'll pass it on. I think the actual midwives are more sympathetic to pregnant mums' physical and emotional wellbeing than the consultants. My midwife said there is no way I'll be able to VBAC

Is it next Thursday? Sounds like you've been really lucky with your midwife - mine is nice but is very anti-interventionist....

Yep a week to go!! It helps that my midwife is a friend of the family. Her uncle is my dad's best mate. She is lovely but I do feel I bug her too much! She shouldn't have added me on fb, given me her mobile number and her email address then should she :rotfl:!! I know most of the community midwives as this is my 3rd and they are all very nice. It's the consultant I need to convince though!!

the midwife just phoned with some test results for me.

My GTT has shown i am boarderline. they are going to continue to montior me apparently. yet i dont have another appoint, ent until the end of Oct!

my blood results have shown my iron levels are low... so i need iron tablets which without a doubt will make the constipation problem even worse. 2 large bowls of bran flakes a day are making it bearable... not good
