Very early morning ladies.
Finally I got some of the starter packs from our Asda today, 8 of them and 8 free packets of Huggies wipes beside the ones in the box. They're the Soft Skin ones with Shea Butter and they smell soooo nice.
Now got over 30 packs of baby wipes lol.
Jenjade. Just wanted to ask, Where are you swapping your nappies?
Another thing I wondered is with regards to BMI. Mine was just over 30 at midwife check in so I was told I wont be allowed a home birth (should I decide that's what I want) However, I now weigh 12kg less than I did back then, so wondered if they'd recalculate it on current weight?
Have any of you ladies had a home birth, and would you recommend it If so?
Sorry for all questions.. X0 -
Gah, up at 4am again! Oh well, knew it was coming after such a lively day yesterday lol!
To be honest, I've woken up after a dream that we got sent to prison because we hadn't named the baby! I hope you can't get sent to prison for not naming a baby (*does quick google*
) but its got me properly worried! We haven't come up with any names for this poor mite and he'll be here in five minutes! DH is useless and keeps suggesting Dougal, Bruce Wayne or just plain Batman...
My belly button popped out at about 10 weeks this time, its hideous! Someone remind me to post a bump pic later on, its changed shape again and is now pretty much perfectly round!
Went to the new Lidl's "exclusive opening event" and snaffled my goodie bag
free biscuits, lemonade and raspberry jam so was worth dragging hubby out, even though he stood there with his coat collar turned up hoping no-one would recognise him :rotfl:
Lirin - your dress is fab and nice car!! Hope your back is ok? I got squashed between my car and a VW bus at Boots earlier, practically had to limbo my way out!
Seeing as we're indulging in wedding pics, here's mine:-
and I think someone mentioned cake?
Anyway, I suppose I'd better log off before this turns into an (even more) epic post!
Hope you ladies are all fast asleep having lovely dreams and I'm sure I'll chat to you in the "real" morning

Morning everyone
Well, a week overdue and no sign of baby. This time tomorrow i will be up and getting ready to go to hospital for my c-section - it cant come around quickly enough!!
Having a very chilled day today, the house is immaculate and all washing done and put away so am going to paint toenails, shave legs, apply fake tan and face mask, and sort out my eyebrows. I want to feel as nice as possible whilst stuck in the hospital, well there has to be some benefits to knowing when your baby is coming
Just got to pop to holland and barratt to buy arnica and peppermint tea and thats me sorted!!
Labour vibes and hugs to those that need them xxxxxxDue 26th July, team yellow

Ooh another Frimley-er. Please do give me the lo-down on how the maternity bit was once your bundle arrives. So far quite impressed with the antenatal, apart from the HUGE wait (quickest wait so far, 55 minutes, worst 1hr.40!) everytime i come for a scan/clinic.
Sending you labour vibes to get you some mummy cuddles pronto!
Will do - I've been well looked after so far there and the maternity department tour was pretty useful too - if you've not been yet, I recommend going.
Missy - good luck for tomorrow. How come you are having a section at a week overdue?
Am guessing little angel and elmo have had their babies now - they've been quiet for a while..........
Welcome to the newbies
5 days late here. At a loss over what to do really - went for 2 hour-long walks yesterday, keep bouncing on my ball, eating pineapple and curry, drinking RLT and nothing. Honestly feel like this baby will never arrive

Morning ladies, lurking over from the <12 weeks again lol! Just found this on the NHS website and thought some of you might be please to read it:
'It is fine to eat whole cuts of beef and lamb such as steaks, cutlets and joints (but not rolled joints) rare, as long as the outside has been properly cooked.'
It's from here http://www.nhs.uk/Planners/pregnancycareplanner/pages/Carewithfood.aspx
Seriously good news for those of us who love a good steak lol!!!0 -
Does everyone get another scan at 30 weeks? I'm yet to see the midwife (tomorrow) and get in on the UK system so not sure what the protocol is.. Though a friend of mine who is 30 weeks put another scan pic on FB so looks like she had one too... Exciting to see bubba again if soI have my 30 week growth scan tomorrow excited to see my little man again! Wondering how big he is now??? I'm 29+1 !
I so need to get on this freebie/voucher bandwagon... Think I'll set some time aside later and try and suss it all out.i have just added up the true value of the nappies and wipes i currently have (using mainly offer prices as i would pay £2.59:eek: for a pack of wipes!) and they come to £361.22:T:rotfl::rotfl:
I think i have spend appox £35 in odd pence here and the odd £1 for the newborn packs
My hypnobirthing lady says that sperm contains prostaglandin (ie the induction gel), but you need quite a lot of itddebski_us wrote: »5 days late here. I was chatting to a friend of mine who is a week over and her midwife suggested using her tens machine to ease backache as sometimes that can jump start contractions. Not one I've heard of before, but I think I remember you have a tens machine so might be worth a try? My midwife has told me to try to "relax my body into it", not entirely sure what that means but I guess she means we can rest assured that they will arrive at some point
Thanks for the steak info Lisa!
DS has woken up this morning absolutely dripping with cold and sounding like Darth Vader bless him. Very glad he's off to his dads this weekend - the last thing I want right now is a minging cold!0 -

Embarrassingly, I *begged* DH to DTD last night but he was so tired he turned me down..........
Winne - sometimes I wonder if I just *forgot* all about it, baby would arrive. Not heard about using TENS before - I do have one, feel a bit nervous about that *goes off to Google*.............

Thanks. I was told they are stopping doing the tours, and telling you to look online at the pics instead. Grrrr.
The only 2 other things i've read about (other than doing naughties as someone else mentioned), are a good foot/calf massage, with plenty of action on the bottom of the foot, and around the heel/ankle area, which can start things off (hence why you cant find many masseuse who will give PG ladies leg massages! Or you could try playing with/rolling your nips, which they apparently do sometimes suggest in hospital. I would try number 1 first tho, as apparently the nipple thing if it works, can bring on quite fiercly!
