I'm suddenly really itchy and light-headed again.... More annoying as I'm itchy everywhere and can't scratch!
I mentioned my itching when i had my appointment with consultant/registrar last week. He sent me for the blood tests for OC, which came back clear (this time) yesterday evening, but i have to have them repeated in 2 weeks if i'm still itchy as it can take time to build up enough to show in the bloods. ANYWAY, the registrar is my hero, as he prescribed me aqueous cream with 1% menthol. I'd tried the normal aqueous on this itching and it didnt do alot, but with the menthol, oh boy.. it hits the itchy spot! Maybe ask your doc if they can prescribe it?Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Kira, will mention to the midwife tomorrow- literally it's only once in a blue moon I get itchy (and yes, it's my boobs as well as everywhere else....). Can't really scratch in work with CCTV and everyone watching- will have a big bath tonight....
Which would be the other problem! I'd need to lie in the stuff.
Speaking of itchy- was watching the R Collie try and scratch his ear last night. Back paw wouldn't do it, front wouldn't reach, so he was lying on the ground in front of me groaning in disgust with both paws itching eachother in midair.....Pulled him over for an ear tuff to put him out of his misery.
Housework- have resolved to do a bit when I get off on mat leave on Friday. I'm still trying to stay awake here, will be a zombie by Friday if I'm not careful.... Too tired when I get home to do a lot. Also! Did the dishes the other night and realised I can't reach into the sink properly anymore, bump gets in the way.0 -

Will do. Writing myself a little list now, I have a few things to ask!
I keep getting asked by friends etc what items I need for baby- which particular brand of dummy, bottle, etc- TBH, I haven't a clue! I haven't obsessed about any of that- a cot is somewhere to put baby, a pram needs 4 wheels and somewhere to put baby, a bottle needs to hold milk- the rest is largely semantics! Plus, I really hate being put on the spot and suggesting presents for me/my family.... DH's family all tell eachother beforehand what they'd like, and it's then bought. Mine never did that- my Dad would view it as rude to ask someone what they want, and rude to suggest what should be bought! Makes it interesting at Christmas.0 -
Hello All & welcome to the new faces (& not so new new faces!)
Re the itchiness discussion, I have everynow and again gone mad with it just under the bump which I presume is because getting too hot but have slapped on some cream which does help but its so annoying.
Will be 30 weeks tomorrow and have noticed and increase in appetite  so much so that if I do not eat enough T I am demanding my hubby fetch me something naughty to eat when I am in bed !! Had roasts 4 times this week as that seems to be the only thing that stops me eating later!! I have to be careful as cant drink milk but can eat yoghurts and cheese in small quantities but for some reason am eating tons of muller corners and babybels when normally I would be ill so my body has definately changed
Twigpig - loved the link, my hubby would be on the floor if he watched that, perhaps I should test him later... toughen him up
Gilly - re the tesco £5 snow suit thing we loved them when we saw them but already have two warm suits so cant get anymore damn!!
Been a bit behind on here &saw my friend with her lovely LO on Friday (she was born Jan 11) and my friend has been poorly since Friday, she went into hospital sat night, originally they thought UTI, acute kidney infections/possibly passed a stone and now they think apendix so she is having a procedure tonite she has the worst luck. Her mum is also due to have a major op very soon so its so stressful for her and oh. Really hope she feels better soon and the op is a sucess. She did say that with the LO she had been forgetting to drink anything until the afternoon  so I think she has been very run down as well.
Anyway on a more positive note love reading about you all describing the movements of your bubs, if mine gets too vicious then I make hubby put his hand there as that frightens him and he stops :rotfl:
Tomorrow its round 2 with the mw hopefully she will be able to do bloods and anti-d injection as bruising almost gone now.
Been to boots today and got some more spatone, it was on on 3 for 2 so good price.

Funny, hubby's family have always done that and I love it now that I'm used to it. I always get someone something that they really want, so I'm not wasting money, and I always get something back that I want so they're not wasting money either. We have budgets set at £20 a head, so it's all really simple. I tried for a while to get my family to let me know that they wanted but they were hopeless, so I've reverted to the old fashioned way of picking them something :rotfl:
ETA - My itching is only my boobs, but not anywhere else. I think it's cos they're warm in these non wired bras. The 2 keep squishing together at times :rotfl:
I'm loving watching my tummy move too now. I loved the kicks but seeing my tummy move too is really quite specialTTC #3..........0 -

Lirin, Re:which bottles. The only thing i've read about how to choose, is that if you are going to combine/ move from breast to bottle, then it helps to choose a bottle with teats that are similar in shape to your own nipples- apparently the shape varies a fair amount from brand to brand. Avent are closer to my shape than others..Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Baby brain kicked in there massively. I had a mental image of me standing in Boots topless holding bottles up to my chest......
Reality's reasserted now!0
