Yeah, hoovering is painful- didn't realise until physio that anything that hurts isrisking lasting damage. I'd thought SPD and associated pain were something that was temporary, but she told us you can do lasting damage that'll affect other pregnancies....

DH sprayed the weeds in our front garden with weedkiller. Normally my job- purely by dint because he forgets the front as we never use it. Apologised to health visitor as I let her in as he must have sprayed the weeds in low light- he's had blue paint in the sprayer beforehand. I hadn't noticed as I haven't used the front in ages, and DH has had the post etc waiting when I get in.... now I know why!

I now have a bright blue front yard!

Congratulations welshcaz! Maybe try posting on the parents thread for advice?

I've spent the morning on the sofa watching Frozen Planet on catch up tv while OH has been at his kickboxing club. He's just rung to say he's on his way home and do I want anything from Subway :D:D

Suppose I'd better have a shower and get dressed after that, and maybe do something with the rest of the day... I finally got the natal hypnotherapy CDs off ebay, they were delivered today so need to put them on iTunes and upload to my phone so I can start listening to them...

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend...

Oooh yes and thanks to Caelshorn for the advice! Much appreciated :D

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: at your blue front yard Lirin!!

  • I think my waters have broken or I am having a very watery/pinky/gooey show.

Unfortunately I cannot get out of my town.

The M5 is closed in both directions for the day, certain roads were closed due to a jackknifed lorry blocking a major roundabout and carnival floats have reduced the main route to where I need to be to single lane traffic until tonight when they move on. Traffic is actually backed up 12 or so miles.

The midwife unit in my town cant see me as they have no staff today so I may have to go to Weston.

I dont have a car, my mum has just had a massive go at me (unrelated to the subject, even if I did ask her to take me she would refuse, in her day you just went to bed and didnt make a fuss, she is the type of person who thinks funerals for babies are strange) so will have to go by bus, that would also mean a detour as the 2 bridges closest to me are closed (maybe one has reopened) after a landslip.

Its not exactly fun here to say the least.

    Hi everyone,

Hope all is well with you and bumps.

I was looking forward to going to a bonfire display tonight until I woke up with a terrible cold!! My throat is soooo sore and I can hardly breathe, nightmare :(

So just staying in with some soup and telly tonight instead. Seems to be one thing after the next with this pregnancy lol.

Lauralou - I know what you mean about the pressure - it scares me every time lol. Such a strange feeling but I think it might just be bubba down low so not worried :)

    TC

Weston can do straight forward births, anything complicated they can always send you to Bristol, at least you get a fast ride there!

Where are you travelling from? Is it worth trying a train, then taxi?

  • just read your signature & ur not due til March, so birth not an option right now! Don't worry yourself too much, I had a bad bleed with DS at 20weeks, luckily it was day of scan anyway & they just said everything looked fine, just some moving about/ hanky panky from previous night must have caught something tender. DS was born perfect at 40+10! Get yourself to Weston for a scan.

Thanks again everyone :) i have another problem which is really getting me down and that is my hubby and the babies name!,i have had my heart set on a particular name from early on in the pregnancy which he didnt like,he decided after bubba was born that we can name him what i want along as its spelt the way he wants, but im really not happy with the spelling and people are already pronouncing it wrong which is really annoying me!,i know it sounds trivial but its really upsetting me,hes very stubbon and refuses point blank to back down and i dont want to give in and accept a name that i dont like,i feel like crying! am i being unreasonable??

I don't think ur being unreasonable. If u don't mind me asking what is the name?? Why is he being so awkward? If u aren't happy, has the baby got a nice middle name I know loads of people who go by their middle name rather than first.

I know some people who have unusual names and hate it when people get it wong and having to spell it all the time.
