Okay sorted through a lot of the baby stuff and the list below is what I have, that's new or been bought for us. Can someone advise me of stuff I still need to get? Either items or sizes. We have a worryingly lack of newborn stuff and no sleeping bag because OH doesn't like them

    3 x vests - new born
    12 x vests - 0-3m
    9 x vests - 3-6
    10 x babygros/sleepsuits - 0-3m
    1 x outfit - new born
    2 x outfit - 0-3m
    2 x light jackets/cardigans - 0-3m
    1 x padded "heavy" jacket - 0-3m
17 x pairs of socks - various sizes, can't really tell
    6 x scratch mitts
    2 x "indoor" hats - 0-3m
    3 x "outdoor" wooly hats - 0-3m
3 x pairs of bootees - think these are 0-3m
    11 x bibs
    2 x woollen outdoor mittens - 0-3m
    1 x snowsuit - 0-3m
1 x pair of shoes - 0-3m  they are vile, but were a present :o

This is a first grandchild for both my parents and my OH's parents, so we don't want to go overboard with stuff and end up not using things, but at the same time we're trying to spread the cost out so we don't have to buy it all at once when little one is born.

    Quick question.

Thought I'd had BH's before, I'd felt bump go like concrete on top. Now unsure.

Last 45 mins, every few mins, bump going very, very hard on one side, and leaving me panting, lasts a min or so. Not sore, but very uncomfortable.

DH and I had thought it was baby's butt sticking out, but it's so regular and so long I'm really unsure. Seems to be dying off a bit.

Is this BH's? maybe what I thought was for the last few weeks wasn't?

I've never noticeably had a braxton hicks, so afraid I can't help there! My bump is harder sometimes, but not for a short time, so I think it is more baby position?

All my baby stuff is gathered from various charity shops, car boots etc, and was given a couple of bagsful of (mainly) vests the other day too. I had a count up the other day, and found I had 40 vests in 3-6, but no sleepsuits! Most of those came out of the vest bag, I will add!

I thought I was being careful to avoid too much newborn, and it is the smallest pile I've got, but I still have snowsuit, 9 vests (plus 2 tiny), 2 jumpers, 11 sleepsuits, 3 thicker all in one things, 1 pair of dungarees, trouser/top outfit, 2 light hats, 1 pair of scratch mitts and 8 bibs! :D I'd stopped buying any, unless they were cute. :D

What I seem to be lacking is socks! Though I have several pairs of bootees, would you go for socks under those?

    Hi everyone

When do you start to feel baby low down. For about a week now i've started to feel her quite low down and oftern my bump goes hard. I'm 31 weeks.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks - Im 30+6 days and have been getting them for a few weeks now. I find the bump goes hard at the bottom in the middle quite low down. Almost feels like the skin is being pulled or stretched from the inside. Only lasts for a minute at most but you can get it if you are dehydrated or need to empty your bladder. I dont find it painful -I just become aware of it and feels slightly uncomfortable. HTH

Thanks. Think was more intense Braxton Hicks last night than I've experienced so far. DH was slightly excited and was trying not to convince him that A, I'm not dying, and B, I'm not in labour.

I have had tightenings regularly before, since 24 odd weeks? I think, around there. Last nights just felt very different-very defined and hard.

Today, tomorrow, and all next week, then i'm on mat leave! 7 days in total. It's crept up quite fast.

Dh got shouted at last night- affectionately. Told to go to bed. He's dying, convinced he's suffering sympathy pains for me, and has a new variation of the flu. IN reality, he's got a slight touch of real flu and a heavy dose of manflu. Though I've indulged him- he's been fantastic over the last few months cooking, cleaning, footrubs, back massages- if he wanted to feel sorry for himself after doing so much for me- well, it's only one night. :) He looked a lot better this morning getting up for work.
  • Morning ladies and bumps!!

Nothing to report from me except I've got 2 days off work :j I'm getting a mole removed on Friday morning so I'm only at work Friday afternoon, then after that I've got 2 weeks left until Mat Leave :j

I can't wait as getting out of bed and getting ready for work on time is now proving to be extremely challenging, not sure if it is being pregnant or the dark mornings though!

I'm going to bounce and rhyme with my 18 month old niece this morning then OH and I are going to a gig tonight. I'll be trashed tomorrow, hence the day off work.

Morning all. I've had BH from about 17 weeks and sometimes my tummy looks really odd shapes depending on where baby is positioned. Sounds like BH you are both having Lirin and Laura.

Sorry you are having problems with your OH Mimi. Not read right back through the thread but I hope it works out for you.

I have my parents staying this week. How do they have that ability to make you feel guilty? Think I've just upset my mum because her friends daughter had her mum at the birth. Well my mum lives away and she was saying how envious she was, I said even if she lived close I wouldn't really want her there. Didn't mean to be rude but I think I upset her, now feel guilty. The lady who had her mum there though had a need for her mum to be there as her OH wasn't around. To me having my mum there would be too difficult, she fusses too much and I couldn't concentrate on me. Grrr hate feeling guilty.

Need to have alook at the list and see who is near the top and who has had babies. I do read every day but usually only the last page or two.

    Have a nice day ladies.
