hope it's just a one-off incident, missymoo!
My cat has just come flying through the catflap, racing into the bedroom, jumped up on me and laid down... I wouldn't mind so much but it's clearly raining outside as he's soaking wet! My other cat is doing her usual trick of letting me know she's hungry by scratching at the wardrobe door and generally being very annoying, in the hope that I'll get up and feed her... I'll do it in a minute!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
congratulations mamamoo i love his name.
ohh its morning again is it. kids woke up at 5am, usually there up at six but with the clocks changing it was 5. little one keeps asking me for pizza for breakfast, its the leftovers from last night but theres no way she is having them at this time of day.
DH has warned me that if my sickness continues how it is doing he is taking me to the gp tomorow to get checked out. half of me agrees with him but the other half is thinking, its just sickness it will pass, but i guess the weakness and hardly being able to do anything because of it is taking its toll.0 -
Congrats Mamamoo :j
Well I'm still joint 18th after the boldies6 weeks today until I become a boldie :j I am back to work tomorrow after a week off with my back and hips. I've got 3 weeks or 11 working days to go and I think I can manage that in my sleep deprived state. This week off has been THE longest week ever as I just physically can't do much, it's very frustrating
I think i am going to be in a tricky position with my sister who is due a few months after me and seems to have assumed i will be handing her all the clothes etc. she phoned today and said she has bought 2 packet of newborn nappies coz she may aswell see what i have left over before she buys some. I didnt have the heart to say i wont have any left over is baby grows out of them i will swap any unopened for larger sizes. I can afford to give her everything although i would love to. i was planning on ebaying everything as soon as baby grows out of it
how is it best to handle that one?
I would be honest with her and explain money is tight so any nappies will need to be traded up for the next size, but obviously if you have a half used pack she will be welcome to those, and that clothes will need to be ebayed or carbooted. I've been lucky in that I have inherited both my sisters cast offs which are still in good condition, but I would never have assumed I would get them. One of my sisters, who has given me the most stuff is a bit tight for cash so I gave her some money for the loan of her baby stuff.0 -
Congrats mama!!
Sorry to hear you girls feel sicky. Hope it passes soon
I can't decide how cross to get with OH. You may recall a few weeks back when he hadn't come home from the pub and it was the next morning. Well I knew he would've fallen asleep at a mate's house but it really peed me off - a) because I didn't know where he was and hadn't heard from by the time I woke up and b) because we had plans for the Sunday. I went ballistic and spent most of the Sunday in tears (couldn't quite pull myself together).
Last night he went out and I knew it would be a late/messy one, and had planned on going out for the day whilst he 'recuperates'. I'd said to him that I didn't really mind where he was or what time he got home and could be lunchtime (not unusual for us in our partying days!) but just to please let me know where he was and to let me know before I woke up so I wasn't wondering. He promised he would let me know by 7am.
Woke up at 6:45. No sign of him or even a text. Waited til 7:20 then called him. He reckons he was just in the middle of texting me to let me know what he was doing (how flukey it was just the exact same time I called him). I told him my waters had broken (which was a bit naughty of me as they hadn't but I was cross) and he said he'd come home now. I said there was no need as they hadn't really but that I was livid he broke his promise and to eff off.
He's since texted to say he was deffo texting when i called and is really sorry he was letting me know late. I said I didn't believe him and either way it was late so he'd let me down regardless.
So now I'm laying here getting all frustrated, really torn on how to play this... In general he is lovely and sweet and thoughtful. He's been dying to have a big night out with his mates since we got home from Australia 2 months ago, and I knew he'd be fine really and would've just forgotten. I also feel a bit bad for calling him and flipping out and laying on the guilt. On the other hand, he has let me down. It should've been easy enough to send a little text saying "am at X's, still going from last night, won't be home for a while". And I would've been fine. It's the fact that he didn't keep his promise that's riled me.
Grr. Don't want to stew all day and don't want to be the big bad girlfriend. But why didn't he learn from last time? I'm clearly feeling much more rational this time than last, but if he can't be reliable over something like this which boils down to basic respect (for your 7.5 mth preggo partner), why should I just let it lie?
Double grr.
Sorry for the rant.0 -
