cloudberry, everything is extortionate as soon as its for a baby. it is ridiculous! My braxton hicks i dont usually feel, just on the odd occassion I can feel it as my stomach is so hard you can practically make out outlines of backs and bums etc.
  • I have to say, on the nursing bra front. I'm wearing my mamas and papas ones (from the 3 for £15 offer) already, and they are so comfy.

Really tempted to buy some more from ebay.

Flu jab wise - arm was sore for a few days, had a bit of a higher temp and I still have a bruise just a bit bigger than a £2 coin. All in all, not too bad.

Went to a nearly new sale this morning. Bought some baby shoes and 24inch talking tigger and piglet for flumps nursery.

Don't think he'll get them though as DD and OH have been playing with them this afternoon :rotfl:

    Hope you're all ok x

hey redehead, sounds like you got some bargains today. hope you're ok x
  • I really don't know why I bother going to bed anymore. I should just stay up as I rarely get any sleep. I used to love going to bed but now I dread bed time as I know I'll be awake in pain within a few hours :( I'm fine if I sleep for an hour or 2 during the day, but more than that causes back/hip/pelvis pain.

Oh how I miss sleep :(

WW- echo that! I go to bed, and while DH goes out like a light, I'm left staring at the ceiling. Sometimes I fall asleep, sometimes I don't.... Just depends really. I'm starting to get very tired now. Including today, I have 13 days left at work, 3 weeks really, two short.... 13 days sounds better. I have no real choice, will have to tough it out for as long as possible, as I can't afford to take more than six months....
I'm in this morning, and feel as if I've never slept- I'm wrecked, and everything that can be sore is! Think that's going to be a constant complaint now until the end really.
  • urgh crap nights sleep. Was up texting OH till stupid o'clock, finally drifted off only to have a nightmare! DD woke me up at 8, went to get out fo bed and was SICK!!!! :(

Need to attempt to wash my hair over the bath today (i NEED a shower!!) grab a bath (cant wash my hair in the bath, am weird about it!) before heading off to MW to see if she feel's like sticking me today (evil cow) lol I'm gonna suck it up and have the flu jab - I only have 9 days at work until MAT leave but i dont leave until 1st dEc so good chance someone in the office will get the lurgy, and if they dont DD probably will from nursery!

Im 29 + 3 and I have been getting braxton hicks for about 4-5 weeks. Didnt realise what it was at first but when I read up on it its definately that. I get it at the front of the bump towards the bottom and it only lasts for about a minute each time - just get tightening and hardening in the area. Glad I know what it is though! Apparantly you can get it from 5-6 weeks of being pregnant which I didnt know!

i have never had them that i know of, i wonder if its because i always have "back labour" being normal for once would be nice tho to be honest,

im 12 weeks today. TMI ALERT had a bit of a fright last night tho, went to the loo and wiped myself, there was a spot of blood, re wiped, spot of blood again, que full on panic mode, and it turns out, i had managed to cut myself down there and have nocked the scab off. so back to normal service.
  • Ah bless ya lovecrafting. MW always tells me not to worry when I go to the toilet and wipe, to go and have a coffee and a biscuit then go check again.

Another one here not sleeping. I think I would prefer 3 hourly night feeds at the moment rather than waking up every half hour to turn over as my hips and pelvis are agony. Oh well. Having my haircut today by a friend, then have midwife then off to my neighbour's to get my eyelashes tinted. Got to get the essentials in!
