  • Kandboys c section pre op lasted just over an hour, they checked my weight, took blood, did 3 swabs for MRSA, went through the procedure, issued me with tabs to take night before and morning of op to reduce stomach acid, and then met with anaesthetist to discuss any allergies and epidural plus pain relief for after the op.

kandboys have a lie down for a while and see if the pain goes. What is the pain like? like you have pulled a muscle?

It's like my SPD just got turned up 100% :(. Kind of like when you pull a muscle - ligament pain basically. I did lie down for a bit but as soon as I started walking again it hurts. Will see how it goes I guess. They can't do anything if I was to ring maternity ward. Baby is moving a bit so think he's ok and I didn't fall as such it was just my leg sticking out at a funny angle!

Thanks! Am seeing my anaesthetist on Tuesday. Where did they swab??! Am guessing I'll still need a pre-op appointment even though I'm seeing the guy on Tuesday. about weighing - I don't want to know how much I've put on!!!

  • Ouch that sounds awful Kandboys :( maybe get OH to put you in a hot bath see if that soothes it at all.

I'm another one with heartburn. Got some tablets from the doctor last week which are good, but only work when I remember to take them :o not sure what they're called but if nothing else is working you can get your doctor to prescribe them for you.

Just back from football, wasn't going to go but needed a change of scenery. Popped into tesco on the way home and they have my favorite champagne on half price so bought two bottles :D hopefully not long til I can enjoy it!

I was swabbed for MRSA at my 20 week scan appointment! Routine at my hospital apparently. I had 2 swabs, one of the inside of my nose, and then one i took to the loo, and had to swab the creases where thigh and groin meet.

Didn't sleep at all well last night due to heartburn threatening, but not actually hurting if that makes sense. Didn't go to sleep until late, then awake really early & restless. OH looked very pleased when I jumped him this morning (it's been months I think!) but it then descended into laughter 'cause he felt like he was squashing Giblet so that was the end of that! :o :rotfl:

On my own again today & tonight as he's gone off to play a gig so I'm fed up - stuff to do but just can't be a*&sed! :o
