    ooooh craving banana milkshake!!
  • Evening all.

    On the dogs issue:

EX mil had a horrible little chihuahua. We went round once just after DD was born, she was laid in her Moses basket and the little dog jumped in the basket and laid on top of DD. I have never moved so fast in my life. Picked it up and took it in the other room, only for MIL to let it back in where it tried to get back into the basket again! I could have killed it.

Mil blamed me of course. Ggrrrrr.

    On another note:
Asda had Dr. Browns bottles on offer earlier. £5 for 2. I got a pack as all others I've seen have been near £11 for 2. heard ages ago that they were meant to be really good, just wondered if any of you lovely lot had used them?

Finish work in4 weeks because of all the holidays I have saved up. Wooooo :D

    Hope everyone's well. X

We always used them in NICU and I always recommended them to Mums if baby was bottle feeding and had very bad wind. (I"m a retired Midwife (Health))
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Nice MiL

My mum has a massive dog now (long story) and she'd put it in another room or get her OH to take it out if I was worried about it around the baby. In fact she'd probably be more worried than me even though the dog is a huge horse sized softie lol.

She (the dog) likes Squeak... the feeling isn't mutual though, I think she found the sheer size of her quite intimidating :o

i am not sure what to do about getting the breast pump. in store boots have it for £99. if i spend £100 instore u get £20 of boots points. and i have £23 of points i could use to buy it.

but i then read somewhere that the £20 of points on £100 spend is Just for the weekend in store. Next week it will be £12 worth of points for £50 spend. Also next weeks offer is gift box womans ted baker free.

does anyone know how i find out?

I work for Boots Jen but am not sure I'm going to be very helpful as I don't know exactly what the points offers are right now. I can find out on Monday but that doesn't really help you this weekend!

All I do know is that if you want to buy something using points, you have to have the full value of the item in points on your ad card. You can't part-pay for something with points and the rest in cash.

oh thanks annabella i didnt know that you had to have enough points to pay.

look like the offer monday will be better. I am not due for another 8 weeks so i am sure an amazing offer will come along before then. or i could buy from nct for £85 and forget the points
