lol lirin, i've only got 4 weeks to go and i am definitely still in denial, think its why im having such a nice time packing my hospital bag, its as if im packing for a holiday, mind you what sort of holiday needs big knickers and maternity pads im not sure!!!!

Lol! I'm the same, I'm thinking "ah it's ages away yet" and OH is going on FB moaning because he thought my phone was dead (it was in the bathroom - don't ask) and I could go into labour any day now and my phone should be on me at all times!

It is ages away. Ages and ages. And when the day arrives, it's going to be a perfect little baby that pops out with absolutely no fuss. :)

A quick cough or two and it will be out Lirin :rotfl:! It's so weird though knowing when he's coming. Especially as he's coming a day early. I'm so used to going 2 weeks over. Not sure I could do that again though with having SPD this bad

okay focus people here is step by step nappy guide to getting nearly free nappies

step one- if you haven't already join the ADSA baby club. it gives you a voucher for a free huggies newborn starter box. this is the box that has the vouchers inside the sleeve the box contains a packet of huggies newborn nappies and a packets of huggies wipes plus a hat. Print the voucher when it asks if it pronted okay click no. then it lets you print is again giving you 2 boxes of newborn stuff free. Vocuhers are worth £5 and the starter packs are currently reduced in asda to £3 so you can get £2 off your shopping if you buy other stuff at the same time

step 2- Got to adsa and buy a huggies newborn baby box either using the voucher u printed above or buy one for £3.

Step 3- now inside the sleeve open is carefully there are 3 vouchers one for £2 off any huggies newborn nappies- use that voucher to buy another huggies newborn box u will only have to pay £1! the second voucher is for £1 of huggies pure wetwipes these are currently £1 a packet in boots and were £1 in asda if they still have them so you get a packet of free wipes. also a voucher for £2 off swimmers nappies these are currently reduced to £2.99 in boots so u can get a packet for 99p

step 4- take the £2 off huggies newborn nappies voucher to asda and buy another huggies newborn box for £1 and the £2 voucher. again it has the vouchers inside so you can repeat step 3 again and again and again.

when you have enough newborn size one from inside the box you can be cheeky and return them to other supermarkets asking to swap for a larger size as you/ other half bought the wrong ones and u have lost the receipt.

    Any questions???

Am measuring 2cm bigger than I should be though, she said they don't worry until its atleast 3, but I am worried.

At my 28 week MW appointment I was measuring 2 and half centimetres bigger than I should be and my MW said the same as yours, apparently it is because your baby has growth spurts rather than steady continuous growth. At my 31 week MW appointment I measured less than I did at the 28 week one  She put this down to using a different tape measure :rotfl:

my sister is also pregnant and she seems to weigh herself A LOT! and keeps asking me what i weight and how much i have put on. I have not weighed and i am not really interested in my weight cant do anything about it until baby arrives might weigh end of Jan and then start loosing baby weigh etc

Jen you really are my twin! I haven't been weighed since my first MW appointment. I will wait until I get the ok to go back to exercising and start from there.

Oh I am so upset and really peeved off! When I went to get DS2 from nursery one of the mums asked how long I had left and if I knew what I was having. Cue spiel about how girls are the be all and end all and she would have been heartbroken if she hadn't had a girl. Because every woman needs a daughter don't you know. Even when I said it didn't matter to us and that as long as he's healthy she kept on going grrrrrrrr. Came home and bawled!!

I would have shut her up with a slap (well in my head anyway!) What a horrible thing to say

Does anyone else find that everyone, literally everyone (including complete strangers!) comments on how big you are? Honestly, from leaving the house to getting home it never stops. 3 women who I don't know collared me in Morrisons and said:
'you've got to be having twins!'
Me: I've had about 5 scans and there is only one baby.
Them: are you sure? Are you due this week?
Me: No, my due date is almost 8 weeks away.
    Them: 'Oh, you're very big!'
    Me: Thanks!!

Female staff member in the library as I walked in: Shall I boil some kettles just in case?
Me: ha ha, not yet, I'm not due for nearly 8 weeks.
Her: Are you sure? Are you having twins?
Me: Not according to my scans.
Her: Well sometimes they don't see the second baby.
    Me: Thanks!

Woman in cafe: You look uncomfortable. How long have you got left?
Me: I am, and nearly 8 weeks.
Her: You'll never last that long, you'll topple over! Are you having twins?
    Me: No, I'm not.
    Her: Are you sure?
Me: Well the hospital reckon there is only one.
Her: Well they've been wrong before.
    Me: Thanks!

Doctors receptionist: I can make you an appointment for the 4th November to have your mole removed, but you might not be up to it after just having a baby.
Me: I'll still be pregnant then, I'm not due until December.
Her: Are you sure? How many are you having?
Me: Yes, I'm sure, and it's just one in there. 4th November will be fine thanks!

My boss: How many babies are you having? It could be quads!?
Me: !!!! off before I kick you!

All day it goes on ....... I apologised to my RL best friend today, a few years ago when she was pg and I kept asking her if she was having twins. Now I know how it feels ....

Other than that I have had an uneventful day, well apart from being overtaken by grannies when walking. We have got a scan tomorrow to check whether my placenta has moved.
  • OH's papa thought I was due this weekend! Haven't had comments except from people I know. I must give out some kind of "don't comment" vibe!
