Mine lives 2 or 3 hours away, he can't leave there, and my son has 2 1/2 more years of secondary school to go and I feel it'd be mean to move him before he finishes. As to how it'll work... I'm just hoping it will!

Thanks Aimless nice to know i am not alone. Mine live 20 minutes away so it is not to bad but with his kids and commitments to their football he cant always come over. He comes over 3 times a week at the moment but hopefully he will be able to come over when the kids are at school when bump arrives so could be here everyday.

Does your bloke come over yours often?

Hooray! Home now :) Hubby is going to light the fire and make tea :)

I told him what you said Missy and he said I have no chance of the foot rub!!! We will see about that...

Lovecrafting, that is really bad about the school. They have a duty to be inclusive for all children! If the school is 90% Muslim, surely they will already know about eid? If so, surely it makes sense for the children to be taught about other religions?!? I'm not suggesting for one minute they shouldn't do about eid, but surely they should learn about something that is new to then as well?!?

im only 16 weeks so shouldnt really be here
But up until 3weeks ago me and my oh where nearly 300 miles apart and considering how it would work if neither of us moved -
we sort of decided it just would work somehow -
and fortunately he got a new job up here and has relocated for me (dont think ive actually told him how much I love him for relocating for me)
Skype calls or msn messenger video calls are free?
Get unlimited text bundles on phones?
Landlines with free weekend and evening calls?

We decided it would work as the other option wasnt an option for either of us. My biggest worry when I thought hed be in London still was would he be there for the birth :rotfl: I hadnt thought past that.

Sorry not much use and just a ramble from me :) xxx

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

you would have thought so eh, but clearly not. thing is, i am sat here now and i feel like the bad guy because i mentioned them learning about eid to the school so feel like i am being a bit discriminotory but im really not. it isnt even that there not learning about samhain its more because of the way dd2's teacher was so adimant that HER class will not be learning about paganism, i know the headteacher will take it seriously when i speak to her in the morning and i know she will sort it out because she is a really good headteacher and does alot for equality. to be honest i am suprised i am reacting this way, we are used to being victimised and abused because of what we beleive i just didnt expect the school to be like this, especially since we was so open with them when the kids started there, maybee i should have continued home educating. try telling DH that tho

mancbird, tell him he has o give you a foot rub because his incompitence made you feel bad,

just do what I do mancbird, lay on the sofa and put my feet on his lap and wiggle them expectantly :) for some strange reason OH actually likes rubbing my feet, think he has a bit of a thing for my feet, weirdo!

OH doesn't live elsewhere Jenjade, well not as such, but hes away for 8 months of the year, broken down to 5 weeks away 3 weeks at home ish. Am wondering how im going to cope when hes away i have to say.

As often as he can, but depends on other commitments of course. He works all week, and saturdays whenever he can, plus he has to go to Germany a lot. Before I would go to him more often, as I had longer free times than him, but of course I'm a whale at the mo! :D We generally meet at least once a month, if we're lucky twice or even three times. I'm hoping the baby turns up pretty much on time, as at least it'll be in the Xmas hols from work then. With it being a long trip, I worry that I might have a quick labour and he'll be on the motorway! I didn't last time, but who knows?

I have a huge worry that OH will miss it all, as if it comes in the next 3 weeks there is no way of him getting home in time, it takes him at least 24 hours to secure a flight and actually get home, the flight itself is about 18 hours!! I dont think he could work further away if he tried!! Just need the baby to hang in there! I have visions of me driving to the hospital, popping the baby out and being back home before he gets back lol
