Aw that sounds great Wonder Womble! So jealous, 3D/4D scans over here are notoriously expensive, going home in a few weeks may see about booking one for then, OH wouldn't get to see but if we got a dvd then he could watch that :)

If anyone would like to get me a nice Tikka Chasni with garlic naan and drop it off, I'd be forever grateful, you can even come in and share it with me and I'll give you some home made chocolate cake? :o

Good luck today mirror, hopefully not long until you have mummy cuddles.

I've not done much this weekend, starting to get quite uncomfortable and really tired! I have ordered a cot and mattress though - something else I can tick off my list. The mattress was half price :D I have posted the links below if anyone is interested.

Links don't work but I got the Henley Cotbed in Natural and the Duo-Airflow-Spring-Cotbed Mattress from babies r us.

Im off to do some housework, hope everyone is having a good weekend x

I bought the Henley cotbed in natural and the same mattress from babies r us a while ago as it was on offer then too - and had 20% off - I love the cotbed hope you like yours just as much ::j

Love crafting Never ask a man to do a job, you can always do it better yourself! I've learned now, but it annoys me once baby comes I'll have to rely on him  I'm so used to doing things my way and them being done correctly. Nothing worse than having to sort out a half a$$ed job.

    Hi everyone,

Hope you are all ok? I'm 40+1 today and feeling a bit fed up :( I know it was unlikely but I really hoped flump would be here by now! He'd have had a really cool birthdate!

Felt a bit odd and teary all day and have been having period cramping pains for the last few days but no other symptoms. My sister said they could be the start of contractions as my bump goes hard when I get a pain but they are not overly painful, although they are getting a little bit more sore. I thought if they were proper contractions then I wouldn't be able to talk through the pain? Think I'm going to make something to eat and then watch strictly, x factor and downton abbey and bounce on my ball.

My cat and dog are both being really freaky and won't leave me alone. They haven't been more than a metre away from me all day! The cat keeps lying next to me (she never does this) and the dog has been like a little guard dog all day, even following me to the loo! My mam reckons they can sense something is going on, let's hope so!

Hubby is still at work (about an hour and a quarter away) and doesn't finish until 10.30 so I'm home alone :( if anything does happen he is able to leave straightaway so that's not a problem :)

I'm just rambling on now...going to make some tea...will keep you posted if anything happens :)

Mancbird - wow 40+1 no wonder you are fed up.. You are in good company though it seems as few of us are having a top telly night with x factor etc.
I think that pets can pick up on how you are so even though oh not home they are doing their job and keeping their beedy eyes on you.
I hope your LO makes an appearance soon and you are ok.

my dog was the same with me when we had dd3, to the point we had to lock her in another room because she wouldnt let the midwife touch me when she was trying to see how dialated i was. in the natural world they will guard other members of the pack if they are sick or labouring and protect them from anything that may harm them. you might find (if female) they will go bin diving and try to store food so as they can guard for as long as needed. its a bit strange to be honest but its what they do in the wild. at the moment my dog wont come near me, she usually nuzzles in for a cuddle but wont touch me at all.

i hope you start labouring when they throw tinman off x factor :)

Hi kira000, I saw loads of second hand reusable nappies at the nct sale yesterday. If you get chance to go to a nct sale before beanie arrives then I would recommend it :)

    I'm a nct sale convert :)

LOL. I have been looking, but unless i want to travel about 45mins, there are no NCT sales near me till after Beanie arrives. Not to say i wont go after that tho!!

Oh don't say that lovecrafting! I quite like tinman ;) would like him to stay in a bit longer!

Just been on the phone to hubby and feel so sore now :( haven't really had much pain with my back etc and certainly no spd like some of the poor ladies on here so I'm not liking the sore back and pelvis I'm feeling at the moment!

Going to get some paracetamol and my hot water bottle and see if this helps.

I'm glad there are a few of you about on the thread tonight as I'm home alone and it's good to have some company!
