Just bought my tickets to the Baby Show at Earls Court and just looking at the special offers available on the website. Just hope I can manage to walk round the whole place!
My bump just sort of sloshes around- it'll be on one side one day, another the next.... I've a really hard lump at the bottom today, just above my pelvis- but it's still sticking a foot in my chest!0 -
We cant think of any boys names at all we like, im after something more unusual but nothing to weird! I like 2 names for a girl - either Isabelle or Islay but not 100% on them either. Really dont know how we will ever decide and its not something I have put a lot of effort into sorting out eeek!:T baby boy born 01/01/2012 my New Years Day Boy

Name-wise, I love Xander for a boy, but DH was firmly against it, so we've gone for Dylan. If we had been having a girl, we'd have chosen Harley-Quinn.0

We tried a random name generator and it came up with Randy Quest
Can you imagine the teasing.... Needless to say, we won't be going with that one.

Rose is probably going to be the middle name for our little one, although that's a family name from DH's side and I'd like her to have one from mine too, but they are all either awful, or don't go with the other names.
Kandboys comment about the rose tattoo reminds me, I have to keep checking on the dragon tattoo I have on my side as the tail seems to be growing... thank goodness I didn't get it any more round the front. Never thought of babies until I met DH even though I did give the tattoo a lot of thought before I got it several years ago.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Hey everyone, still got to read back from yesterday, but hope everyone is ok.
I'm having some major trouble confirming my new car (11 plate) is comptible with maxi cosi isofix base (as I really want maxi cosi). The brochure says isofix compatible, but maxi cosi website said no info from manufacturer, and now mazda are telling me it's not safety tested and I need to buy britax - will be very mad if I need to buy a new blinking car, mad, mad, mad.........TTC #3..........0 -
My doc sent me a standard letter inviting me for a smear- I'd thought you couldn't have this when pregnant, according to the letter you can?
My gp does NOT recommend it where I am. In a previous smear, the midwife asked if I could be pregnant and I said it's possible as we were trying, she stopped and did a pregnancy test first. In her words, she "wouldn't want to rooting around down there if I was pregnant". I've also had an abnormal result in the past, but all fine now (maybe 3 years ago?). I also got my reminder a week or two after our BFP. Midwife and GP advised to do it 3 months after the birth. I hope that helpsTTC #3..........0 -
oh rubbish twinpig, i hope you get it sorted.
on names we told family the boys name we liked and nobody likes it, but its tough, we do!!
on the tattoo front, i have a dragon above my bellybutton its usually abt 2.5inches long, now its about 4!!!!!!! really hoping and praying i wont get any stretchmarks, been putting on bio oil most mornings, but sometimes i forget, thinking about it, think im going to have to remember every morning and even start putting it on at night...... weighed myself this morning and have put on 1st 5 already!!!! most of it is on my belly, bum and thighs, fantastic, thats going to be great to shift after!!0 -
I like it! Ella too- there's less Ella's around than Chloe over here.
That's what we're going for! Well at the moment it's Eleanor but think we may end up with the shortened version. Good job she's not a boy, we had no idea of names.
Really need to do something today, have only done school run, put dishwasher on and went back to bed for 2 hours. Got a charity bag from school to put some clothes in, and one from Beavers too. Have got some of DS' old clothes which I've been trying to sell but no-one seems interested so will probably stick some of those in.
Was really proud of DS at Beavers last night; they went bowling, the second time he's ever been. Was in last place half way through, then dropped the ball so it didn't move down the lane so stepped over the line to help it along but then got told off! So he burst into tears. We had a chat, he went back and had another go and got them all down, was so proud of himself and had shut up the nasty kids who had been laughing at him. The smile on his face he was trying to subdue nearly made my blub right there! And the best thing was he ended up winning and was sooooo proud of that!Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -
I've got a dragon tattoo on the front of my left hip and a butterfly on the front of my right hip... I moisturise when I remember but so far they're looking ok... I think I've put on about a stone so far (at 24.5 weeks!) so may need to start to lay off the cake a bit!
Hope the boldies (and Winnie) are all doing ok, feel like we're due some October babies by now!
Had my 24 week midwife appointment this morning, all is looking fine. Heard Pip's heartbeat for the first time which was really coolShe found it straight away too which was nice!
Hugs to basscadette for such an ordeal this morning! I would have died! Hope you're now wrapped up on the sofa! I know that's where I'd like to be, am dying of a cold at the moment so am just trying to pump myself full of vitamin c to shake it off. But could really have done with not having to leave the house today! Will drag myself to work tomorrow then spend Saturday in bed I think!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0
