The reason I wasn't allowed Xander for a boy is because DH's niece is called Willow, and he didn't want a Buffy family :P0 -

I like both those (especially Willow) and as a non-Buffy fan I wouldn't have connected them.
However, a friend I was speaking to yesterday likes Esme or Bella. I asked if she was a Twilight fan and got a blank look in response, so I guess not :rotfl:0 -
Just got my little Groegg thermometer delivered from Amazon
Got it for £6.99 including delivery, so I'm over the moon, it's so dinky and cute. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

If you like it that much don't let anything stop you - I would call her Phoebe-Phoebe just to annoy your SIL, lol, then drop it into the conversation that you had it picked out years ago!
Ah, names are a minefield! I know I'm going to have a boy because we can't decide on a single name for a boy though I have about 20 I wouldn't mind for a girl!
C xx
We're the opposite, have got a whole long list of boys names, and have got a shortlist, didn't have any problems with boy's names at all, but are really struggling to choose girl's hames! The reason I wasn't allowed Xander for a boy is because DH's niece is called Willow, and he didn't want a Buffy family :P
love it! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I do actually really like the name Willow, but I think OH veto'd it a while back...

I had liked Logan and Jessica, from Logan's Run, but they're a bit ordinary. I'd also liked Arwen, from LOTR, and Seren had been considered....
We had also looked at Thor....0 -
Lirin, my OH liked Thor! I put my foot down, if he could we would have a Peter Parker, Bruce Wayne.... the list goes on...The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I quite like Serenity and Inara
I also said if I ever had mixed sex twins they would be Luke & Leia.
Hubby also veto'd Anakin for a boy0 -
We called our kitten Willow (18 months now so more of a teenager, but still currently the baby of the family!). However, he's a boy so not named after the Buffy character but after the fantasy film. That's just as geeky, isn't it!!
Obviously not so likely to be an issue with a baby, but our Willow came in about 7am today mewing loudly to tell us he had brought home a present of a dead mouse!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls
