Anyone giving Hypnobirthing a go? I keep hearing loads of good things about it so have bought a book and CD off Ebay - a lot cheaper than the classes!

Yes - me. I've been to the classes too. However, I am a poor student - you are meant to read the book 4 times and I'm only just finishing it for the first time. I certainly feel quite relaxed about the birth (at the moment) and get a bit annoyed at everyone telling me how awful it is and asking if I'm nervous . We'll see. I have had to tell people to stop telling me about their births.

Had my last day at work today. Got trotter like feet and nothing seems to work to get them down - not even sitting with frozen veg on them. I had thought that gentle walking would be beneficial - something to do with getting the fluid and lymph moving - but it isn't working. I'd be grateful for any tips. Am 37 weeks plus 3.

I'm 38+5 tomorrow, will take another pic and post it. I've got some stretch marks now too, managed to get this far! But they are only (so far...) across the bottom of my bump, and aren't too bad, not really. I know they'll fade in time. I'm going to be slapping on the bio-oil from now on though!

I've started just going to the loo on a regular basis, whether I feel like I need to go or not! :rotfl: Seeing as I seem to go from not needing to go at all to desperate in five seconds... It's just easier to go every hour rather than try and hobble up the stairs without wetting myself... :rotfl:

My bubba is awful quiet today, I'm trying not to panic as he had a manic day yesterday, for pretty much the whole day he was going crazy. Been laying down for a while though and I can feel gentle gentle prodding but nothing major :(

I have days like that Gilly, especially now. I'm sure he's just having a duvet day, recovering from his manic day yesterday. Providing you get the ten movements in two hours (after eating something sweet, drinking something cold and lying on your left...) then everything should be ok.

I think I was spoilt in the early days with Pip moving so much! It's so difficult not to worry now that s/he's not moving as much but like I said to my midwife today, I know there's less room in there now, I do get the ten movements in two hours (and it never takes two hours to get ten...), and there's always a good strong heartbeat when the midwife listens in, so I just have to tell myself not to worry!

Gilly try have something either sweet to eat/drink or something really cold to drink. Then lie on your side for a while. I found nesquik got baby moving. I have a quiet day every now and then. I'm sure everything is fine (((hugs)))

Can you email the pics to yourself from your phone, emmylou? Then open the email on your computer and save the pictures?
