Morning ladies.
Good luck Kira.
Had midwife appt this morning, first one there so on time for once.
Bump is 3/5 engaged and measuring 39cm so good on that front.
But midwife says there's protein in my urine, so she's sent it off for testing.
She's told me to keep an eye out for swelling. Anything else I should be looking out for?
Worried nowx
Don't worry, they said to me my blood pressure is creeping up, but my urines clear, so not sure what that meansHow is your blood pressure?

Thank youI think I'm just emotional because I imagined I'd go early, and now I'm starting to think it won't happen, and I can't really complain because I've had a problem free pregnancy minus the carry on with his head and my migraines in first tri.
I just want to meet him now.
Also the Doctor at the hospital was very young and dishy, think I would have died with embarrassment if I'd to have an internal or anythingThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Aww bless you. Of course you're eager to meet him. He'll be here soon enough though but he's probably just a bit to comfy to want to come out yet

I know, I feel selfish even saying things like that as I know how much problems other people have had, and I'm moaning about nothing in particular.
Was a woman next to me at the desk today, saying she was due Feb 18th and had, had bleeding this morning, and had phoned up and the sour faced cow at the desk (she is always horrible) was so nasty to her. I could have jumped over the counter and gave her a good slap!!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

If she was too concerned she would have sent you straight into hospital so try not to worry, they are just running more tests to see if there is any issue.
I keep being asked about headaches and/or vision problems as well as swelling. All are signs that might mean pre-eclampsia. Note MIGHT - does not mean you have it by any means but obviously they will want to keep a closer eye on you if they arise.
My BP has been up and I have swollen ankles, but hasn't been a concern as I don't have other symptoms and the midwives are quite happy with me. They've got to the point now of saying that it's hardly surprising given I am so far over my due date.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Your problems and worries are important to you though and so they are valid ones and you are entitled to have themWas a woman next to me at the desk today, saying she was due Feb 18th and had, had bleeding this morning, and had phoned up and the sour faced cow at the desk (she is always horrible) was so nasty to her. That's terrible, poor woman. Some people really shouldn't be in jobs that involve contact with the public

Gilly really glad things seem to be ok, it's a shame your oh is being a git, i've been tearful too over trivial stupid things, my consultant said at 36 weeks you get a major spike in hormones, so i think that explains it for us xxxx
And as ems said above you are entitled to feel as you do, it's been a long journey and we all want it over and to meet the lil ones xx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Emsbet, you are right, some people shouldn't work with the public, especially hormonal pregnant women. On the desk today was her and a guy who looked like Max from the band The Wanted, how random. :rotfl:
Toniq - I know, has been a long journey I think, even though my little one was a complete surprise, from the minute I saw that test was positive I went from begging my period to come, to hoping I'd never see it.It's amazing how fast that instinct kicks in.
