Congratulations to LauraLou, I like your choice of name :D is it pronounced Erin-na or E-rinna?

I am spending the whole day on the sofa today, I have no energy. The washing machine is on duty all day clearing all the backlog of bed linens left over from having a houseful of guests at Christmas - gawd I sound skanky with that - honestly they weren't used long but had lots of people staying and normal everyday washing took priority!

I am getting fed up with needing a wee all the time in the day and producing what feels like a teaspoon but then wee-ing for England in the middle of the night several times. And trying to turn over or get up for the loo is like a blinking military exercise now ... grump!!! :o

Hugs to everyone and labour vibes for those that wants them!

Kira, I'm sending you loads of labour vibes, promise! I kept hoping mine would be a bit early but it's getting silly now and there is still no sign of anything. I am really hoping that if I get a sweep Tuesday that will get her out as she seems far too comfy otherwise. Also getting fed up with people calling but not actually asking outright when they are obviously checking up.

My baby has been quiet today as well - I have this hope that she's chilling ready for some significant movement down and out:)

Can't help with the breastpads as I haven't needed them yet. I have some ready which I think came from Boots and I guess I'll see if I get on with them or not.

This afternoon I've started on a cross stitch sampler to put babys name and dob on. There's a lot of sewing to be done but I hope to have it finished before she goes to school!

Just remembered I meant to ask which breastpads people recommend. I know Gilly has tried a few different ones already. Had a teeny little leakage in the bath last night so figure I'd best get some when I do my shopping incase I need them soon.

I've tried them all :D I will review them now.

Boots Slim Line - Decent but found they didn't "stick" well.
Tesco Own Brand - Very thick, but smaller in size, so better for smaller nipples I'd say and I would imagine absorbent after having baby and having more milk than what I currently do. Also v cheap.
Tommee Tippee - What I'd recommend if your leakage isn't bad, and comfortable for every day use, they are large in area but not really thick. They come in individual pairs wrapped, which is ideal for your bag, but sort of annoying when you have to open them every day.
Avent - Got 3 packs of these the other day from Mothercare, half price and 3for2! Very very thick, similar to Tescos, as they are smaller in area, so I'd imagine using after baby, you may have to use 2 per breast.

    Hi ladies,

I remember from a while back some of you live near/travel to Metrocentre, we've been today and Mothercare in there is closing down, we got lots of little Mothercare and Disney outfits at 50p each after a rummage, lots of bedding, prams and furniture still to go, maternity bras and clothing too, I could have gotten more but was reticent to buy stuff without having a clear idea of which cot etc we're going for, might be worth a look if you're in the area anyway.

My Mam took me to Asda this weekend ahead of the baby event to have a peek, got lots of basic clothing items and they seem lovely quality, she's dying to get them in the washing machine but we still have 16 weeks to go, she's so excited it was lovely!

Amazing news Emsbet, must remember to lurk in the other forums, congratulations if you're reading this, will try to remember to cross post later!

I would imagine all supermarket branded would be pretty similar, so they may be similar to Tesco, Do they come in a box and have a long strip of sticky on the back?

There is a less than 12 weeks thread floating about somewhere, you might find more people due in September over there, a lot of people don't come over here until later in pregnancy. Stick around though! :D
