Oh Ro, dont jinx me with a cancellation! Have u had a confirmation email? I`ve not had anything thru yet

Haha Gilly, I remember the fish and chip guy, cant say i blame him tho, the chip shop nr that hosp is lush, its called Wings, and i think its supposed to be a chinese actually, but everyone loves the chips lol!
Did u find the page on fb Lovecrafting?? the other couple have commented on there, the bloke is back for 2 weeks at the end of this month bless him, his baby will be 3 months old
Redhead, when i had DD1 the midwife asked us if we wanted to see the placenta, DH said no, but me being who i am said yes
Well, she brough it round the side of the bed so DH couldnt see, it looked like what i`d imagine squished brains to look like. Anyhoo, was in a plastic bowl, as she went back to the sideboard by DH.....she dropped it :O the bowl smashed and it was everywhere! DH went a very funny colour hahahaha!!!!!!!!
Smoking is an issue in this house, i`ve never smoked, DH has since he was 13
DD1 is asthmatic, and was in hosp July 2009 with a collapsed lung and Pnuemonia. He hasnt smoked near her since, but it help alot more it he didnt stink of the stuff!! Taylors asthma is triggered by lots of things tho, too much dairy, damp air, exercise, Dog fur is a major trigger. xx Mummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,

Oh don't, remember the guy from last season who was eating fish and chips in the hospital?!?
I know Annabella, it's horrible. My OH gets really wound up when we see pregnant women smoking or people smoking around there children. To get into the doors of my local maternity though you have to walk through a cloud of smoke to get in the door, despite all the signs up saying "no smoking area" the weird thing is, I know of people who have given up the minute they find out they are pregnant, but go back to it when baby is born? How crazy.
Ours has a sign that says something along the lines of 'please be considerate of the newborn babies leaving the hospital and smoke away from the entrance doors' or words to that effect but every time we've been there, people clearly don't care.
I know people who have quit whilst pregnant only to start again once they've had the baby. It does seem madness to do that, if you've managed to quit for so long, but then I quit for a good year or so then started again (but quit for good about three years ago now).:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Oooh ladies.. i got an email through from NCT, about their sale, and saw something that i rather thought would be useful. It wont quite arrive in time for me to use it straight off, but still probably going to get it.
Basically its a 1L water bottle, with long flexi-tube and mouth piece that you dont need hands for, so you can drink easily whilst breastfeeding, and not have to reach across for a spillable glass. Gets very good reviews. Definately think it would be good for me, as i'm terrible at drinking enough and i've read everywhere how important it is to keep hydrated whilst b/f.
Its on sale for £9.99- its over £15 in boots!

Ooh, I'm officially allowed on this thread now! V day for me today, can't quite believe it, the time has flown over but when I think back it's been ages since my 12 week scan! Look forward to reading back tomorrow, today was a day spent in Ikea looking at nursery furniture, so I'm knackered from being on my feet all day!0

ARGHH OH is doing my head in, trying to get my Sainsburys shop finished and he is groaning on about how diluting squash gives him acid, I refuse to pay £3.50 for the Robinsons kind, when we can buy Sainsburys own make for almost half the price
I should point out his diet is crap, he eats no fruit or veg, snacks on takeaways, sausage rolls, chips, sugary cereal, crisps, chocolate constantly, but no it's the diluting juice giving him acid, surely if it's not giving me a pregnant woman acid, it's not that which is causing it for him?!?!

I know it seems petty but we go through so much squash it's unbelievable. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I've been a good girl today, I've taken all my tablets, done all my exercises, watched a bunch of my birthwise DVD, praised and petted DH for doing all his chores, washed 2 loads of newborn/0-3 clothes and even ironed some of them! And didn't complain while DH was too rough during the perineum massage, had a shower, replied to emails, I've eaten all my vegetables and not thrown up! My best day for ages!
I even consoled DH when for the second time in two weeks he dropped my Starbucks before getting it home to me! This time he made it to the front door, put the lattes on the recycling bin while he opened the door, but they where blown off by a big gust of wind about a second before he reached for them. Splattering his shoes, coat and jeans! Sadly I had asked him to buy a plastic refil cup to avoid a dropping incident after last week, which he brought home to wash first rather than asking them to do it before making my drink in it
I think I deserve extra browny points (or Starbucks ones)!
The baby moved positions again today, my belly is now a distinct triangle, my lower back is achy and I shuffle like a penguin, my PGP seems much less pronounced compared to the lower back pain (ironically much higher) so I'm wondering if the baby jamming his head in has actually stablized my pelvis?
I forgot who asked but my lady parts do seem to have swollen over the last few days. I do think I have entered the time where Im going to consider every thing a sign of imminent labour. My bladder seems to be smaller and only work well when im leaning forward. Anyone else getting slightly paranoid that there pelvis is too small for this sort of thing?
Good luck to all the boldies and people at the top of the list! I used to be 75th on the list, I'm not even going to count how far I am from the top now.:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

Do what my aunty used to do, keep the posh bottle and refil it with the cheap stuff and tidy up the evidence!
Just don't buy a cereal box when it has the free toy in it and they will never know

Morning all. Hope the lack of posts means everyone had a good night's sleep. I managed a 3 hour stretch at one point before the next toilet break, which is pretty good going for now.
Gonna spend today bouncing on my ball in the vain hope it will get this baby out. I am getting jealous seeing people with little ones now when I should have mine in my arms! 41 weeks tomorrow if she doesn't shift.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Hi everyone
Sorry i havnt managed to read back.Hope everyone is ok.
Erinna Jamie arrived 3rd January at 11.38am weighing 7lb 4oz.
Will try and write a quick birth story sorry if it doesn't make sense!
Was a long labour, OH worked it out as 48hours!In my notes it says 'established' labour was 11 hours. Went in Sunday night got sent home, return to hosp mon morning at 5.30ish. I stayed at 3cm for a few hours and usually they send you home but they didnt want too. Oh i was classed as high risk because of my low bmi. So got sent to the antenatel unit, stayed there until 4pm ish, was still 3/4cm. Was given gas and air, which i didn't agree with. Was sick three different times through out. Was then given an epidural, which didn't work so then needed it again. She was back to back as well. Was full dialated at 9am tues morn, So we started pushing at 10am for an hour but then her head was the wrong way so ended up with a forceps delievery. She was born at 11.38am, weighing 7lb 4oz. I managed some food at 2pm tues and i hadn't eaten much since tea time sun. We then sent two days in hospital. All going ok so far. Had a good night last night hopefully it continues doubt it tho!!0
