Gilly / Ro, the app is called white noise lite...(strange that eh!)

Think I might try it on hubby when he's freaking out but question is do I go for rain on car noise or electric fan :rotfl:

LOL. No young women at my place for me to horrify! DH did get a shock though, he thought my company was going to pay me full pay or half pay for months. Its unfortunate that there are so many young women working elsewhere in my company, that the corporate policy is statutory minimum everything for Mat.

I knew what I was going to get before getting pg. I guess they hadn't thought about children quite yet (I'm probably the oldest person at my work who hasn't either already had children or is past starting on that now!). The ones who were totally unaware are probably 10 years younger than me!

The thresholds for tax credits are scarily low when you have to provide for a child out of that as well.

And Gilly - with you on the food front. As soon as this little one gets out (if that ever happens!) I've got to try and shift some weight. Really haven't put more on than I can attribute to baby, which is great, but I was far from svelte to start with.

Sorry Aimless, that is pretty rubbish of him. Also really annoying that it seems to be just back pain rather than baby. Labour vibes needed all round I think!

Seven hours and I finally got a how's your day been reply. There's definitely something going on, but no idea if it's the start of things? My back still aches, I'm incredibly irritable, and I can't stop craving junk. At least mum has offered to drive me to the midwife tomorrow to see if anything's happening, assuming I can locate them and get an appointment. I'll gladly take their offer of a sweep, cos if this isn't the start of anything, I don't want another week of It!

Think with me it will have to be a bit more moderation over the naughty things though sadly moderation has not applied to my box of heroes :0
Gilly realised my apple pie tease was evil (blame pregnancy hormones) but you must have a good metabolism to have dominos etc so you shouldn't be worrying. I have not looked at a dominos and have out on 2 stone and not taking Dylan out is not helping. But there is no way I will be getting obsessed about it all as it will come off in due course.

I wish  not sure why I've not put the pounds on, I assume it's because before I moved here I took the car everywhere but here I've been walking everywhere. Maybe it's my age too, my mum was about my age when she had me and barely put on anything. I can still if I try fit on my pre pregnancy jeans.

This week though I had a personal sized Dominos pizza & garlic bread on Monday, dinner out on Wednesday, Chicken Parmigiana, Thursday, Nandos for lunch and out for dinner at night and had a chicken roast thing with the most buttery mashed potato I've ever tasted and then a summer fruit sundae for dessert  last night had a chippy which was a chicken burger and chips  and OH wants Chinese tonight

That is disgusting, and whether I'm putting weight on or not, it's not good for me! I wasn't thin before getting pregnant either, so I'm hoping with breast feeding and my planned batch cooking I'll be able to get the weight down a bit :o

Aimless - hope things start for you soon. And Kira too x

I'm with Gilly on the healthy eating thing. I've never eaten as many takeaways in my life as ihave the last 3 months. How I haven't put weight on I don't know.

We should have a dieting after pregnancy thread lol.

Saying that, I have Pizza (and salad) for tea tonight and meringues for after lol, with TV Burp and Take Me Out on the planner.

Got You've Been Framed on now, and it's crap. Most of them are clearly set up, and I hate the ones where babies fall/hurt themselves. Was one just now and a woman let her dog lick her in the mouth. Eeww.

    Xx

PS, on the white noise front, there are lots of videos on YouTube. If you're at all technically minded, you can download and convert to mp3. I did a few months ago when I really couldn't get to sleep.

Evening all! Just caught up on today's posts... My health visitor was saying the other day that apparently the Inland Revenue is the best place to work when it comes to maternity pay, they do the full year at full pay!

So OH and I went to do our food shopping today, came home, put everything away then we were heading back out to get something to eat... As we were driving off down the road I saw a group of girls walking up our street... Got a bit closer and realised one was my best friend... Turns out they were heading to our house to set up my surprise baby shower! Turns out I ruined the surprise slightly by not getting out of the house quickly enough but it was still an amazing surprise and I had no idea at all! Even my mum and her friend came up (50 miles down the motorway), it was such a surprise! So I've had a lovely afternoon sat eating cake and drinking coffee and talking babies! And we've been given some lovely pressies, lots of baby grows but all 0-3 months so should get a decent amount of wear out of them, plus a Winnie the Pooh mobile and light shade, a teething toy, and some other little bits. Oh and my best friend bought some plain white vests and bodysuits in different sizes and some fabric pens and people had to draw a picture on them! It was really fun!

There's loads of cake left over though, am going to be eating it for days!
