Oh, and I had a lovely e-mail from the Pampers mailing list this evening talking all about how wonderful it is to now be holding my baby and have the pregnancy behind me etc.

    Grrrr!

What happens at an Asda baby event?
The nearest Asda to me is a huge Walmart one about 20 minutes away, not been to a baby event before so not sure if it I will want to go?

Generally big boxes of nappies and the like on offer (Huggies, adsa own brand and pampers baby dry). Also always have some equipment like bottles, steralisers, travel cots, safety gates those johnson baby boxes and car seats on offer. I personal prefer the sainsbury third off baby events but don't know when the next one is.

Icey, its just a few weeks of good deals on pretty much anything baby related! Bottles, nappies, car seats, bouncers, playmats, clothing, breast pumps, stair gates, strollers/pushchair (normally 2 diff ones) sometimes breastfeeding pillows, baby wipes, those Johnsons boxes (think they r £20 ish, i got mine for a fiver after the event finished last time) . Umm, cant think of anything else off the top of my head! So its just a case of if ur in there, see whats on offer those few weeks! Oh, they also usually do fairy washing powder cheap at the baby event too ;) xx

Not once have I ever been given any indication of potential baby size. All they do is measure the bump, which has been in line with what it should be the whole way along. I wish I had an idea of how big Pip is getting!

I was there for a scan to see where my placenta was, so the weight thing was just a side comment, that only seems to interest me. :D

Crabapple, I had the Pampers email too, I filed it in my baby email folder, unread. :D

    evening ladies.

is anyone watching really? channel 20 there is a programme about a 13 year old chain smoker it is shocking

Another thing you ladies might want to think about buying before your babies arrive is something to treat thrush. it is very common to get thrush if you have a natural labour.

also used my medela swing today expressed 3 oz didnt take long very easy to use. seems like a good buy

Hi ladies, just a quick question. The last two times I have been for a wee there has been blood in it. Its perfectly ok to just wait and call the doctor in the morning isn't it? I would think its probably just a uti. I am 24 +1

I'd maybe call NHS Direct or something, Laura, just to be on the safe side...

Where's Gilly been today? Anyone reckon she's jumping the queue...?
