Well. Cheered up a bit now...
Just had a scorching hot curry and a bounce on my ball in a desperate bid to get things moving :rotfl:
Just seen on my notes, Bumps estimated birth weight is 10lb 5oz, so not too bad.
Guess he'll just come when he's ready
Hope everyone else is well. Xxxx0 -
Well I had DD3 in Southamptonat 6am, and their policy was to keep u and baby in for 24 hours minimum. They checked Lily every 4 hours, temp, heart rate etc. Well i say they checked, I nagged the hell outta them every 4 hours to come see her. Then I noticed a rash, was told by 2 diff drs it was nothing. Then at 2 am, i was shattered and asked for the nurse to take her for a few hours, woke up at 3am in a panic, went to find Lils, and couldnt! They had decided that the rash was something after all, and the temp that they hadnt been able to keep down all day indicated an infection. They didnt think to wake me, just took her down to NICU anyway. By the time i got down there she was hooked up to machines with a canula in her hand
Was kept in for 4 days with antibiotics being given in her hand everyday, results came back 4 days later as nothing to worry about basically.
Anyways, this hosp havent actually said anything other than I have to have antibiotics in labour, but they havent said about staying in 24 hours, just making sure baby has his 1st Dr checks as his hips need checking ( i was born wih congenital hip displasia (sp?) ) But no one has mentioned the Strep B checks lol! Ask ur midwife next time u see her. I think it depends alot on how long ur waters have broken b4 u give birth.
Sorry for the ramble lol xxMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

I haven't read back yet but thought I'd just give you all a quick update on me.
I had my scan at the special unit today. All they could tell us was that the head is small, it was all the head measurements this time, not just the one, and that it may mean theres a problem but they can't say for sure. Hubby pointed out that he has a very small head and so does his dad and they did say it could just be that its taking after them. I have to go back for an MRI scan which will allow them to look at the brain in more detail as its a better resolution image. Apparently everything looks normal in the head except for it being small and everything else in the body appears normal although baby is generally a little on the small side but the head measurements are especially so, the other measurements are just a little below average. So the waiting and worrying game continues. We don't have the date for the MRI scan yet, they are supposed to be ringing us with it but we hope it will be later this week or next week.0 -
The fact everything else looks good Lisa is a huge plus, well that's what I was told. Hope you're not worrying too much, although I know it's easier said than done xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Fingers crossed. Feeling a bit down and worried about it all but trying to keep positive, just wish I could be allowed to enjoy the pregnancy instead of it being one nightmare after another. Also, trying to keep a brave face on as DH is a real worrier and would be even worse if I didn't keep positive. At the end of the day, whatever will be will be and if baby has rpoblems then we'll cope......we'll have to one way or another!!
Lovecrafting, sounds like good news for you, fingers crossed it continues!0 -
I know
in the end I just had to think that no matter how much worrying I done, it wouldn't change the outcome and just tried my best not to think about the worst case scenario and knew that I'd love my little boy no matter what. Was saying to MIL the other day, I think I had all that worrying as payback for having a pretty much dream pregnancy, no sickness or feeling crap or anything.
Don't bottle it up, you and hubby have to be there to support each other, it's hard but he's the only other person who feels the same way you do and understands what you're going through.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. In a way it's good you had the CVS done so early on xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Good evening everyone, thought it was time I popped over and introduced myself. Was on TTC since April 11 and got my BFP 1st weekend of December so now approx 8+3 with No2.
DD will be 2 on Monday, last pregnancy was good until 32 weeks when my waters got a bit leaky (gross is not the word), and a bit of a nightmarish birth at 37 weeks (emergency c-section following placental abruption). Have whited out the details in case people don't want to see them.
First MW appt on Thursday morning, hope its my old MW she was fab.
I hope everyone here is OK, hugs to those that are struggling at the moment, easy labour vibes to anyone that wants them, and hello to everyone else.
I found this board a real rock last time, so will be hanging around quite a bit!

That's good news Lovecrafting.
Just realised I'm about to become a boldie. Due date tomorrow but despite have a few rough days last week when thought something must be happening I'm showing no signs of anything starting now. Really just want to meet my baby now.0 -
Still waiting, sigh! Starting to worry about size more now we're overdue, considering they predicted a big one anyway. And whether things are still ok in there, and if other half will make the birth ok. All round quite fed up.
I washed my last load of 3-6 stuff today, barring the new ones, which I've left the tags on as they're quite seasonal and I might want to swap. Next up is the reusable nappies, but I can't remember how they're best done! Am I right thinking no softener and a couple of washes before use?0 -

(((hugs))) Aimless, sorry you're still waiting! I'm sure everything will turn out fine, and your OH will make it back in time when things do happen.
That's right for the nappies, definitely no softener and at least a couple of washes. Some stuff I've read says they don't hit their peak absorbency until about 10 washes, but I'm only going to do mine a few times through in advance.:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0
