    Hi!

first time of bootsing today. went ok with no7 voucher( got eye make up remover) and yardley set for mum for £3.50 but..................... took a DARK GREEN body bar to till and it wouldn't swipe through for the free moisturiser. I had read something about the different colours of body bars but couldn't remember what it was. Could someone clarify does it need to be the light green bars? sorry if this has been said a rew times
    thanks x
The light blue body bars scan through but the green bars should be accepted as they are the same item-Sa has to manually overide at the till.Hth

We could do with a list of which Boots are sold out of sale stuff as lots of people are having wasted journeys!
    Could anyone do this???

Good Idea - I'll start with the stores I've been to in the last couple of days

West Bromwich (visited 16th Jan) Very little left in sales aisles except plenty of wrapping paper and tags.

Walsall - Park street (main branch by New Look). Not really much to speak of in here either apart from about 30 of the £6.50 gorgeous bags and reduced no7 christmas collection items. Quite a few Wagamama items left, aprons & juicers mainly. Again wrapping paper and tags aplenty.

Walsall - Small branch in Saddlers centre. Has a few clearance items. Fruit Fusion? Intense conditioner sachets 20p each, various blades for boots razors and a few wilkson sword all 50p per pack. A couple of packs of 4 and 8 king of shaves blades 25p and 50p per pack. A couple of reduced botanics items. About a dozen each of the No7 Xmas lip gloss sets and the lip and body shimmer jewel sets £3.75 each (not scanning free with the No7 voucher). They also had about a dozen of the no7 lipstick design gift bags £6.50 each - apparently don't scan for £1.50 with the No7 voucher (did ask SA but she wouldn't even try it for me). Lots of Homer simpson talking bottle openers - were £7.50/ £8 ish but offered at 75% off.

They had a few other reduced or clearance items dotted around on the normal shelves too.

Do you not receive the £5 voucher when paying by A/C points?

I am disgusted with how I am being treated in the Boots stores just lately.

    Grrrr!!!

The dark green packaging doesn't seem to go through so stick with the light green. I had a lovely SA who manually put through my free moisturisers when this happened to me but it depends on the SA in your store.

Glad you have joined us and good luck! x

    thanks for your replies.
The SA was very nice and tried to scan them again but didn't work, there were no light bars. Do you think I should go and try again stating the offer? I live in a small town so therefore only have small boots. i probably need to be careful and not get too carried away!
I didn't realise all this excitment happened in boots. I had stopped buying a alot of things because I could get them cheaper elsewhere but after reading this thread I will need to keep my eyes peeled.

You could try - thats what I did after I took the SA to the huge sign saying ANY Botanics product! I think the dark green ones are old stock so your store might not get any of the light green until the old is sold. Go for it - you will only kick yourself when the offer is finished! ;)

I've got another question (which I know all you experts will be able to answer!): When getting the no7 deals (ie BOGOF suncare,3 for 2 and using £5 voucher), is it better to go to a no7 till, or the general tills?

I'm trying this offer tomorrow too! I always go to the general tills where they may not be as aware of every specific offer in the store and just put them through the till without question. HTH x
