I think all of us should start our own training school for the "service lacking" SA s we find on our travels.
Personally ive found many particularly in Boots for some reason and I do have to say their is a side to me that quite likes it if they start. Ive been a teacher for over 20 years so ive heard most things and dealt with more "problems" than I care to remember. I do love the look on their faces when ive finished with my set speeches about their attitude.
I always make a point of seeking out the same SA when I go back in the next time!!!!!!!!!!!! and do as many protracted transactions as slowly as possible!!!!!!
On the other hand im quick to praise those who deserve it.

Dont get me wrong I give praise when it is due, only it does not seem to be due in many cases. Lush on market street manchester I fab for customer service. I love going in there. Currently an offer on if you buy something you get a free bar of soap (much nicer than the botanics) I buy a £1 item and get a 4.81 bar of soap this evening, and nice banter with the staff too.

Sorry off the point I know!

    Hello all

After reading your excellent posts on here, i decided to try for the botanics offer at a large boots in Bury St Edmunds.
    This is what i got....
Picked up magazine, stepped outside and cut out botanics voucher, went back in and got botanics wipes for £2.99 and received the face renewal cream worth £6.99 for free, and also 100 points. Then i registered for the prescription service and claimed my 250 points. Then i bought the waffle buffer for £1.50 and got the body butter at £5.00 free.
Then i claimed my free no 7 serum worth £16 with parenting voucher and also 2 free disposable cameras also with parenting voucher(these were bogof). I worked out that in total about £40 worth of products for 0.71p.
So a huge thank you to everyone who posts on here

They do still have Shaun the sheep water bottle covers for £3.75 and also Piglet covers for £2.50.

I think it varies from store to store, but I have always found the buffers with mini items (the little size bottles of stuff you take on holiday) and flannels/soap dishes etc.

    Good luck! ;)

these are to be found amongst the face flannels, loofahs ect. they scatter botanics all throught the store;) By the way, has anyone seen the "yardley" offer in the mag. "a free gift with any purchase from the yardley lavender range" has any one recieved one of these gifts? is it worth a look? Dont forget to look in the mens shaving stuff for cheap botanics shaving foam, I think its around £1.50

  • Don't you feel like complaining to CS that the Boots SA's get annoyed that you are BUYING goods from them?! Sonee, your sister has the right idea and said exactly what I would have done (but have never needed to!)x
I agree - from a growing number of staff in an increasing number of stores the service is blatantly hostile. I went to the Yeovil store yesterday, where they had quite a lot of No. 7 & other gift sets left - but the service - aaaaaggghhhh!!! You would definitely have thought they were paying for your goods out of their own money! It was nothing short of rude and insulting - they certainly seemed to have ditched all manners - whatever happened to please & thank you when processing your transactions? I felt like I was being treated like a criminal! They failed to add any of the points (Botanics 100 & No 7 150/250 from other gift sets) - when I pointed it out, they had to do it manually & were incredibly rude. They wouldn't accept the 3for 2 on No 7, in conjunction with a voucher; queried every Botanics purchase (I found some 99p body bars - yi ha!); failed to give me a £5 voucher (until I demanded it!); kept me waiting for ever etc. etc. In the end I got a real headache & aborted my booty hunting early.
The way I see it is - if their Marketing Department or Agency doesn't think through these Promotions properly - who can blame the consumer for taking advantage of them? In any event, at least it has us all in their stores (would we pay their inflated prices otherwise? - I think not!) & it creates a real excitement and 'buzz' around what otherwise would be quite a boring brand. Indeed I often wonder if they manufacture these loopholes or glitches deliberately to keep themselves at the forefront of the consumer's minds.
The attitude of their staff, however, could become a real 'Sales Prevention' factor, if they're not careful!
