  • Hi there :)

Thought I would say hello. I have been following your diary since you set it up. I just want to say how great you are doing. Very impressed :D

I joined in April and started a diary but then I did not update it or visit the site. This time I am planning on doing it as my debt has increased by about £6,000 since then. Although I have updated my signature it is not showing correctly. Will have to check this out.

I will be following you on a regular basis and am enjoying your posts.

Keep going, you're doing great :D

  • Thanks Bonnington and DFW

I will pop along to your diarys in a bit, im slacking in this department as looking at the grabbit board for cheap christmas ideas and DTD items.

I was hoping for a NSD today but will need to pop out for some milk and nappies.

On the job front I have handed in my notice  just waiting for my SMP to stop then I will be given the dates and hours to work my notice. I have found some jobs local to me evenings and weekends so will be doing some applications later, I have had my job for 11 years so completely out of the loop.

  • Hi Happy, I was the same when Little Itsa was a baby, it just wasn't financially worthwhile going out to work for someone else to raise her, so I gave up my normal day job and got a little bar job in a hotel & restaurant. 3 years later I was a duty manager there and loved every minute of it. I still miss it now as I have been lucky to go back to doing similar to what I did pre-child, but I miss the social aspect of my previous job. Hours weren't greatly sociable with a family but kept me sane and gave me a nice little wage and no childcare fees.

Have you put your details in the snowball calculator to see when your DFD is? This motivates some, (would probably demotivate me!).

I too have a few bits and pieces I need to eBay, probably only get about one hundred pound in total so am saving it until closer to Christmas to help with Christmas presents.
    Just keep swimming!
  • I too did evening work until all the kids were in school (which they now are, but messier than ever), waitressing was good as tips are nice, also done shop work etc it's hard work, but worth it to spend time with all my kids while they were young. :D
You have to start to finish.

  • Hi Itsadogslife and aiming high

I have sent 1 application and have another to do, I think at the moment evening work would be best as childcare costs will mean I will be working for minus figures!

On a positive note look at the debt total reducing YIPPEE
Today the D/D for black horse cleared I have worked out what the interest should be and deducted the balance only - will get an updated amount from them every 6 months.
The return on the catalouge is now showing against the account so again debt reduced.
£10 CSA for DS received and directly into savings.

Will show OH new figures later it might cheer the miserable g1t up :rotfl:

  • I heard back from the application I sent it was a polite bog off dont dirty our door step for at least another 6 months :rotfl:O well.

I have been feeling really down in the dumps this weekend which hasn't helped with the spending. Saturday we paid £30 to join Costco but should get that back in 2 months with milk alone we will also be looking out for a second freezer so we can take advantage of some of the deals.

Today was a bit more MSE we returned some un-opened wallpaper and spent the credit note on stuff needed for the house before we move out.

I'm making the most of the quiet DS has dissapeared out with friends, DD1 is destroying the spare room and DD2 is asleep. :D

  • Hi Happy.

Was today an NSD? I have updated the race on DFW's diary. There are now 4 of us. If you have had an NSD today we will all be equal on one! ;)
