I don't know anyone who has actually received a payment from Barclays yet

Barclays are taking the Mickey. I called them on Monday, was on hold for about 30 mins then gave up the will to live. I'm going to email the CEO and have a go. Got nothing else to do whilst stuck indoors so may as well make harrassing him my pet project for the week. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Guys...

Just to keep you updated on Barclaycard PPI payments.

I sent my acceptance back on the 11th August and the claim is being managed by Brunel Franklin.

I have contacted Barclaycard on numerous occasions as Brunel have done nothing. (That's another story)

I have had various conflicting information on each time I have called. Firstly, I was told a couple of weeks and to call back if heard nothing.

Called again to be advised usually 4 weeks and when it did happen I would receive a letter in the post informing me that my refund had been made and should show in my account within two to three days.

Called again to be told that the accounts people said that all claims were to be paid by end of September.

Called today (as end of Sept) and spoke with someone who confirmed they had my acceptance letter (received 11th Aug) and should be another 7 to 8 weeks as they have over 150,000 claims to settle. I have contacted Brunel who have disagreed with this and said its usually seven to eight weeks from acceptance!

Good luck to everyone and hope it all happens soon for you guys who need it asap!

If anyone has the e-mail address think we all need to send e-mails complaining about the payout times.

Barclays don't seem to know their as$e from their elbow - my DH is still paying PPI (despite cancelling months back) - the implication is they will cancel the PPI when they settle. Where's the logic in that?

Let's hope one of us gets our money soon. :beer:

I spoke to someone at Barclays the other day and was told that I would have my cheque by 12th October!! They received our acceptance on 17th August - its actually 6 weeks ago today so I am now going to be anxious everytime the postman calls!! I am also waiting on a cheque from Nat West and they said within 28 working days from receipt of acceptance - I cant even get them to answer their phone to check if my acceptance has been received but by my calculations of time scales it should arrive about the same time as my one from Barclays - October should be a brilliant month!!! Lets hope so!

im not claming with barclaycard but ive also used a third party company which have done absolutely nowt to help but since offer letter ive been inundated with calls asking for their money, in some cases ive put the phone down as there starting to take the mickey, if they actually did there job properly they would know that refund payments are taking forever.......the third party co even had the cheek to tell me incorrect info that payment was going to be paid into my account 3 weeks ago, hence i queried with lloyds who confirmed NO!!!

I received a letter today from Barclaycard confirming as per my instructions my refund has been paid into my account. Their letter is dated 28 Sept yet there is nothing in my account. If no money tomorrow I will be on the phone quick sharp.

I'll keep you posted.
