Looks nothing more than a place where people can feel smug just because they have a certain car.

If they put any of those near me, I will visit ,paint the letters out with some black paint and post a photo.

Maybe they will also reserve bays for defecting shoppers from Tesco,Morrison,Ali,Lidl etc etc...

This kind of thing just shows how anal this country is.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • I always park at the far end of the car park so that I have plenty of space either side of my car. 1 min walk is far cheaper than getting a dent removed because some idiot opened their door into my car. Either that or I go shopping at midnight the car park is always empty at that time.

LOL. I'll have you know that I can get a weeks full shop (for 2 people) in the boot of my Pug 107 - AS LONG as I don't stock up on wide packed bog rolls, they have to go on the back seat. That includes carrier bags stuffed with whoopsies, freezer stuff etc.
'tis a fine art chuck, you have to look at it as a sort of shopping bag jigsaw, and fit the bits in carefully ;).
Granted I can get carried away a little and may have to shove stuff in the footwells occassionally, but that's because my Pug costs so little to run, I can afford some extra snap :T
BTW Barnsley have redone their car park and it's worse than before, the posh car owners complained that parking on the new pedestrian crossing front of the new glass entrance makes them have to walk a whopping extra 5 yards from their cars into the store :rotfl:

Maybe its because my DD has an amp and 2 speakers in hers.:rotfl:

It's part of ASDAs plan to move upmarket. It makes their stores look nicer if all the £30k electric cars driven by upper middle class types are parked by the front door and the plebs with the £250 Ford Escorts have to hide their cars at the back out of sight.

asda own the car park, if they want to have low emission spaces then that is their rjght. If it offends you goto Tesco. Its not a big deal at all. I'm not disabled so I don't use the disabled spaces, I don't have a low emission car so I dont park in those, frankly I've never been in an asda where I can't find a parking space, the car parks tend to be huge.

Surely it would make more sense for low emmision cars to park further away as they are less polluting :)

I hope it is actually meant for the cars and not the driver or I'd never get to park there no matter what I'm driving :D:D:D

    Therein lies the problem.

Trying to assume the garb of eco defender by setting up rather pointless rules and regulations is exposed when your greater urge is to tarmac large swathes of the planet.

I can't work out what difference it makes to emissions by parking in a different position unless perhaps they intend to build plastic shelters and make all high polluters huddle together under them.

If the suggestion is that all high pollution vehicles should be punished by segregation, then the logical extension of the policy would be to segregate their delivery lorries to the slow lane of the motorway, thereby allowing their drivers to bathe in their own exhaust fumes.

Perhaps Asda have a point.
Never ever give your card details to anyone over the phone, and check the reputation of any company you do intend to give them to.
  • I usually park as near the trolley bays as possible, just can't be doing with a long walk after slinging the shopping in the boot.
