So did these spaces have a plug point (or whatever you call it) to plug in your electric car whilst shopping? That sthe only viable reason I can see for having them near the door. Otherwise - it sounds a rediculous scenario. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

An ASDA spokeswoman said: “We are always working to reduce carbon emissions in our stores, but the low emission car spaces in our Sheffield Supercentre were a requirement of the planning permission from the council. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -

I suppose they could tell if its low emission from how much it costs-the lower emission cars are cheaper to tax and the cost is on the disc.
What a load of tosh though, the amount of waste generated by supermarket packaging makes a mockery of it.Maybe I should wear an "I recycle" badge and get to park in the managers spot.0 -
Jeez, all this over some parking spaces at asda,0

Looks nothing more than a place where people can feel smug just because they have a certain car.0 -

I pay £30 per year for car tax as a result, so if the government view it as low emissions does this mean ASDA do too?
According to the news article that someone posted it's for cars that produce up to 120 g/km CO2, so you would be entitled to park there as you pay £30 road tax. I have a 5 year old car and I'd also be allowed to park there.0 -
As mines before 2001 the tax disc won't show what the emissions are. Love to see them try to prove its not good.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
