Just apply for this and a current account. It then went through a credit card application at the end as part of it (bear in mind it did offer me the card) then declined me at the end.
I think it was only the credit card that declined. I guess the bank account will also be declined too then.
That happened to me when I opened my current account. I also got the invitation to qpply for a credit card and it was declined. The strange thing is though, when I applied for the current account, they offered me a £4000 overdraft!
Dont assume you have been declined for the current account, just wait and see what comes in the postDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0 -

bank and savings went through then card application said no at the end. My currant account was applied before the credit card and I said no to overdraught as well....
shame.0 -
I applied for the saving account it then asked me if I wanted a bank account so i tick yes, then it asked if I want a credit card as I qualify so i tick yes.

To be honest it's none of my business what you apply for but I noticed you have tried to open accounts with the Halifax/BOS also.
Just as a friendly note, it's not good to keep applying for products that will search your credit file and will leave a footprint. It can make lenders think you are desperate for credit and this on it's own can be a bad factor.David

I not worry about credit report, if a bank want to help they will do. I am proof of this.0 -

You've been declined for the credit card, it sounds like the application for the bank and savings account has been accepted (but this will be subject to further checks by AVU once youve sent back the signed form which you should receive in the post). If you run your account well, try again for the credit card after 6 months. I got one after running my current account for 11 months
But as coolesticeking said, dont apply for lots of accounts in a short space of time, this lowers your credit score and makes it like you are desperate for credit. I dont think you should apply for anything else now, as Natwest will have searched you twice, once for the current account and once for the credit card, and as youve also applied for HBOS accounts, maybe give it a rest for a while!Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0 -
I know thanks. My credit file is mess anyway. I have 11 default and IVA but still get cards and banks usually with no problems my RCA with BOS is only new in July as well.

I'm not 100% with this OK so please confirm this, but are you allowed to apply for a Credit Card while you are under an IVA?David

Standard IVA terms actually state that: "Further credit is prohibited whilst under an IVA".0 -

So why would savings say provisionally approved but bank didn't? Maybe avu already say no to me?0
