  • Hi Yellow,
I bought a gorgeous bag from New Look and the strap broke on that, can you get yours repaired? Im going to take it to the cobblers as its fake leather ha ha.

Good luck with your Make Up artist course, its lovely to have a hobby. When I have got myself up and running again and in my new house I am going to do something for me. I was meant to do a couple of courses through work last year but I couldn't keep focussed with everything going on.
I am determined to do them though.

The bag strap was hanging on for dear life ll! My nerves were gone every time I went out in case it snapped. In hindsight I should of taken it and got it mended :(
Yes I think a course is good to take ur mind off things but sometimes when there is all kinds going on at home it's more of a hindrance than a help.
I have a dirty secret! I have been glued to celeb bb so rather than writing on my diary of an evening im watching that!!
    Right on the money front....
Siggy update will come between mon and wed as I'm not in work till the end of the week.
Haven't spent any unnecessary money and checking my online banking haven't used my debit card since wtc went in on thurs.
However, car running on fumes and fridge bare :( will need to rectify this tomorrow after taking dd to nursery.
Will only be putting a tenner in car (quite ridiculous for a 2.5l but don't care!!) and going to Iceland for fridge stuff and morrisons for fruit.
On the bright side freezer full yey!!
Got some cash in purse so will use that and the rest will be deposited in bank acc.
eBay was a mixed bag and got a c*w of a dispute going on at the mo but nonetheless managed to clear some clutter
Off to the post office I will go on tue.
Have a nice evening all off to find dd she is hiding under the blankets from the hyenas on the lion king!!!
    Night all

Just saw oh off to work so a quick update before I get on with my day.
Shopping and petrol as previously mentioned.
Also need to check my main bank acc and pay Vanquis minimum, will be making an overpayment on thurs.
On the main bank acc (where my salary goes) I have an overdraft. This wasn't a problem when I worked full time, however, my part time wages get swallowed up so from feb payday I'm reducing by 50.00 per month.
Because I'm so obsessive with my credit file now I hate the way it's classed as debt, I know it technically is but it's just a
Part of life now. And i can't trust myself and don't earn enough to stay out of it so I'm going to get rid of it. Hopefully it should be gone by sept.

That's my rambling update for the morning
Plenty to do so must get on

Hi diary, long time no see!!!!
Still not making much progress financially just bobbing along.
Started college now and love it, v. V. Expensive though. Got a cheque clearing in the next day or too for the kit and uniform etc and that's the bulk of the expense delt with.
eBay dispute sorted and I won!! Woohoo so back to ebaying again.
We have decorated the hall and living room so have had to spend money on that. So thats slightly distracted me from debt busting.
Was due to have some money coming my way around 2-3k. It was due to be here around Xmas but someone playing silly beggars and I still haven't got it! Grrr. Hoping I have it by the end of feb or at least the end of march (my 1st financial quarter) so I can remain on track.
I've also started the gym so I really haven't had time to update my diary but I'm really going to try and do 3 posts per week minimum.
    Anywhoo today's plans
Get some stuff to wear for college until uniform arrives
    Go to sorting office
    Go to OSS
    Phone sister

Hope everyone ok will catch up on some diaries later
    Xx

Well completed my to do list on Monday and Tuesday was also a productive day.
Sorted through some paperwork and found my Santander store card ppi reject letter so called the ombudsman who agreed to take the complaint on and are sending me some forms. Can't imagine if the complaint is upheld I'll be due much cash but at the moment I'd welcome fifty quid!
Spurred on by this I started looking into the ppi on the dreaded loan, you may remember months back when I cancelled the ppi I was told I had a 5 yr ppi policy on a 10th loan??? !!!!!!! So the last 5yrs are basically unprotected. A few google searches later I found that this is called a single premium policy and have now been banned by the fsa and I'm more or less guaranteed a refund so will be sending a letter off today woohoo.
I paid just under 3k for the policy when I cancelled before Xmas I got 600 refund taken off the loan I've still got interest bearing charges on the loan of 1100.00 so they should be cleared with some surplus for me! That also should reduce my monthly repayments by 40.00! Cos I'm paying 40 per month extra over the life of the loan to clear that 1100.00!! Robbing barstools!!
What's more,, because the ppi was only for 5 yrs but I'm paying interest on it for 10 years over the life of the loan the overall loan should reduce.
I urge anyone who has a 'protected loan' longer than a 5yr term to check your documents you could be in for a few bob!
Not sure how much I'll get back, if anything, as trying not to count my chickens and all that! But anything that reduces that loan is a god send!!
