We are getting beyond the OP on this one, but yes you are essentially correct. The bible was written in a different time - hence it not talking about internet !!!!!!
But truth does not change, if it is wrong it is wrong, simple as that.
Not all Christians condemn homosexuality because not all Christians really are Christians - because they do not believe in the bible nor Christs teachings. You can't cherry pick the bits you like. As Christ said - you are either for me or against me - he that is luke warm will be spewed out of his mouth (not a nice image). I would imagine 99% of Christians have never read the bible (I have several times).
So Christians who don't condemn homosexuality aren't really Christians? If I were to say that to my mother, my brother, my friend who is a vicar - that they weren't real Christians because they don't condemn gay people - they wouldn't agree with you. Which just makes me think it's all a matter of opinion. Who says you're right? Another Christian says something different. Who's to say they're not right and you're wrong?
There must be some Christians out there reading this thread who don't condemn homosexuality. If there are, care to comment?

I agree up to a point. It is not for me to say if someone is or indeed is not a Christian that is between them and God.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Maybe, but if the net effect of jumping off a cliff is death - are you bigoted for telling people it will happen if they do so?

But that's just your belief though isn't it? We don't as yet have any proof that anyone burns in hell so how can you tell someone this will happen? Their belief is that this won't happen. And when one belief is up against another belief, both have equal validity.
And if you don't believe that, that's bigotry

If you want to be gay - then thats fine, just don't pretend to follow a bible you must either have never read or ignore parts you don't like.
And this is where your valid points became irrelevant.
Because of course being gay is a choice isn't it? People aren't born being gay, it's something they just decide to get into when they've had enough of women. :rotfl:

Utter tripe.
Spoken by a true bigot (this could go all day couldn't it). No one is born gay - that is utter crap. There is no "gay" gene.0 -

True enough - we will find out in the next life (if there is one - added that to be equal opportunities on the beliefs!).
I can share my belief - and you can share yours. Its fine! Muslims tell me I am an infidel and will burn too. It doesn't offend me, I quite like to learn of others beliefs.0 -

Spiritual death - yes. But then I can believe what I like - as I have previously said. I will not force that on you or anyone else.0 -
