Hi Phil, I came back to see how the discussion had moved on.
So you've named 3 jobs you can't do for 1 reason or another, lets move to an area where you could be massively useful and get paid to do it.
Your obviously a popular chap, the attention you receive on this board shows this.
You'd probably go to long lengths why this will be a no go area but receptionist type role. you seem to have meet and great skills, not just like the man in asda, but in a place where disabled maybe need a chat.
Perhaps a new role needs to be created for you! A chat officer, or an online chat buddy to the infirm or housebound and I'm being serious.
Or name me 3 good jobs/roles where your skills could be used, don't say an area please.0

Three I have in my mind are
1 equality officer (they do come up from time to time)
 2 tutor in FE college
 3 careers advisor.
2 and 3 might be for when I am a touch older though:beer:0

I like No1 but it may be a little out of reach without some on the job training and even some dedicated qualifications.
But I think your thinking in the right direction.
Or try volunteering for the Samariatans to get an insight into perspective employment (the wife told me to write that)
what she meant was to work in an area where you give some perspective to life, 1st you must be able to have some. She means have you got some life to understand others?0

I know sort of where I want to be and it is really is matter of luck if these posts come up and if some decent first job comes up that might put me on that road.:beer:0
