Wearing a bra in bed?

  • God no! I'm a size 30H and I have a petite frame (yes, i have big boobies!) and I can't wait to take my bra off at the end of the day. it's such a relief! when I was breastfeeding I wore a maternity bra in bed but only a really soft, comfortable one with no wire.

meh. If they go all saggy when i'm older I'll just buy a wonderbra. Problem solved!

I'm 24, and bra size 34B, I very rarely wear a bra during the day.

Since I'm quite small chested I don't need it for support. One theory is that the bras prevent the skin on breast being get pulled down by gravity. Another theory says that bras actually cause sagging, as they weaken chest muscles holding the breasts.

Because of this contradiction, I do what's comfortable.

    There's a Wikipedia article about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brassiere#Bra_impact_on_sagging
  • Oh dear i just tried and I failed the pencil test! :rotfl:

It still doesn't make me want to wear a bra for any longer than i have to though. I have awful back/shoulder pain from wearing my bras. Boobs are so heavy! :rotfl: (and i was also fitted at bravissimo....what a great fitting service! Much better than m&s & Debenham!)

You've all had me LOL :rotfl::rotfl: at some of the little 'gems' on here though lol

I'm pretty sure I could fail the lager can test, never tried. TBH, not sure I'd pass the yellow pages test these days!
  • Well I always wear my bra at night. I'm an FF cupsize and it just feels more comfortable. Then I don't feel self concious if anyone comes round in the evening or morning when I have my PJ's on. My DD also mostly sleeps in a bra- she is also cursed with a large cupsize- now a 32E cup and she's only 15:eek:

Me too in fact I could have written this whole thing LOL!! I love breast feeding but can't wait until that day when I can go bra less in bed!:D

Lilypadz breast pads that stick to you..... :D
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
  • I know someone working in cancer research and her current research is thus: the breasts have no drainage system of their own (lymph nodes are in the armpit which is why so many 'breast' cancers are in the armpit) and rely on swinging free to drain toxins properly. This is part of why traditional tribeswomen have low rates; letting them have a bit of a loose rein from time to time is a good thing.

I get my bra off in the evening and put it on again when I get properly dressed,i.e. not slouching clothes, the next day. I hated hated hated having to wear bras when they were 34HH puppies when pregnant:eek:

One thing I have to ask - why are so many people on this thread wearing bras that are uncomfortable? I don't spend an extortionate amount on mine but I'll make sure they fit and once they're on I can forget about them (I'm not particularly well-endowed but I find it more comfortable to have one on than go bra-less)
