Ok, so it does power on, but you get a blank screen.
The beeps, depending how many, and each beep's duration, will tell you the type of error.
So if it's 3 long beeps that might be the graphics card (purely an example, I can't remember what 3 beeps means). You'll need to read up in the motherboard manual, it should explain the various beep patterns."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

I believe in that case the card BIOS should still display a message telling you to attach the extra cable
. I'm sure some other nvidia cards do that anyway. 0
