Sept '09? That's nearly new! :rotfl:
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

My mum has an unopened tin of bacon in brine from the second world war!!!!! It looks perfect still on the outside but I wonder what the innards are like?

I told he we should donate it to the Robert Opie collection - that is well worth a visit if you are ever in London.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I have a job, but been cut down to 6 hours last year. As of April 1st Casual staff are being regraded and our hourly rate will be down by nearly 46%. I need a plan.
It depends hugely on what you do, but first stop is getting out your CV, dusting it off and really working out how to sell yourself. Look at the employment & job seeking boards on here, and start looking through the local papers and websites like Monster & jobsite and seeing what's out there

    Good luck...

apologies for the off topic post, but I didn't want to ignore this...

That surprises me as I've always believed that cans last for years (unless the can is blown). I am wondering if it's a coincidence as there is a really nasty tummy bug doing the rounds - my daughter currently has it.

I always wash the lid of a can before I open it as it inevitably drops into the contents. I also put the can opener into the dishwasher after use.
My message to that greedy wunch of bankers:
Debts another fine mess you got us into!

If you see somone who hasn't got a smile, give them one of yours.

Yeah possibly could be a bug, lots of germs about at the moment. I didn't eat anything else yesterday that I think could have caused it.

Just for the record, I've eaten fruit cocktail three months out of date and as I'm still here obviously with no ill effects.

Just as an aside I was looking at my tub of Cream of Tartar (still don't why I bought it) and it has a BB date of 2100 . Don't think I'll be around to test that one out.
Woofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw

apologises for spelling mistakes - google toolbar and I have had a hissy fit and I've lost me spell checker.
