Another vote for "eat 'em". The only problem might be is that they have lost their ability to help you see in the dark. Get a torch on standby, just in caseWe could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.0

OK so anyone have any clues about a tin of spam - date was in 2007... found it the other day. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0
-
Look, it'll be fine. No bacteria or anything can get into the tin, so long as it isn't damaged.
Open it, sniff it, taste a little corner. I'll bet you it's OK.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
Absolutely. I would eat it as long as the tin wasn't damaged
We once found some pickles in our church fridge that were five years out of date. They still looked ok. Nobody dared, though0 -
The only reason I wouldn't eat them is because I hate carrots and spam.
Tinned stuff lasts for years it's cooked in the tin after it's sealed so no germs to breed.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -
2008? That's nearly new! :whistle:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
-
2008 I wouldn't even ask the question. I might be a bit dubious around 2015, but then I'd simply open the tin and sniff!

I have some unopened stuffed pasta in the fridge. The use by date was yesterday, do you think it will be ok to eat today? I certainly looks fine and I fancied it for tea!0
-
I'd eat it. If it looks ok & smells ok I would have thought it'd be fine0
-
I would quite happily eat provided it smelt and looked ok. Also we freeze this type of pasta in a sealy bag and just take it out as we need it so you could do that0
