Last week, I was in Cornwall, and then in Scotland, and this week is the same. Heading off to Polzeath soon, then in Glasgow on Thursday. Seeing a fair few motorways at the moment!

Have £180 left for the rest of the month, all DD's have gone out, so should manage OK with that now that I'm not paying out for fuel.

You always sound so self-disciplined when it comes to your budget.... I am nowhere near as good as you seem to be at budgeting. Hope you enjoy all the hotels!

Hi SH - I'm not as disciplined as I should be! But it helps that I use cash, its a marvellous invention. You can't spend what you don't have, so the cupboards are quite full and if I take £80 out on Friday and use that over the weekend and for things for DS when I'm away next week, we're than at 16th with 2 weekends to go till payday, so will see how it goes.

    Scotland all next week.

Ooops! Where did the time go?

anyway, serious MSE news. I had a loan a few years ago, and PPI was automatically included, all the quotes were inclusive etc. As it was more than six years ago, I couldn't find the loan refs etc. to contact them.
Was contacted by FCSC - and filled in the form. I've just been told that my claim has been accepted! As I currently have a secured loan with the same company, the amount awarded will be deducted from the loan, but it's the equivalent of 2 years payments all at once!

    :j:j:j

will see what difference that makes to the end date, it should bring it forward by more than 2 years.

Get paid next week, so this weekend is a make do with what's in the fridge one. Still managed to spend £25 so far though, £12 on drinks for DS

    Have been neglecting this.

In my defence it's a really busy time of year and I've been heading off to customers sites on Monday and not getting home until late on Friday night having put in 10 hour days. So weekends have been spent sleeping.

DS still out of work, has done a few courses but still nothing much except agency work, and even that's a bit hit and miss.

Budget still surviving, I find cash a marvellous invention.
