    I won't use "Just Eat".

The prices on the local takeaway menus are always more than if you order direct.

At nearly a pound extra per dish at the Chinese, that can add up.

The takeaway has to pay Just Eat a commission so they do bump the prices up to cover it. Although it's worth it sometimes for being able to order without talking to somebody and pay online.

According to Just-eat, the restaurants cannot bump up their prices, and must only charge what they would charge anyway.
I've usually found this to be true, have never been charged more than if ordering direct. :)
Meal2go, however, like to p*ss around with their prices, which is a shame, because their points system is infinitely better than the Just-eat one.

    .

i noticed it when I was at my mums and ordered a chinese; they do a "5 items for a £xx.xx" menu and on the paper menu it was a tenner. When i went to Just Eat it was £11, but I put it down to being an old menu. When it arrived they also brought a menu which has it as a tenner.

I use it when I have no cash in the house and need to pay by card

The only trouble was I had a tenner on my o2 money card and selected an £10 Indian meal, only to get a 50p card charge added!!

    Anyway
ordered a Chinese meal instead and it came within 25 mins.

    No bother for me...........

If you mention it to their customer care team, they usually sort it out :)
Their review system annoys me though.
Last week I went to order from a place and instead of a star rating it said "NEW! Be the first to try this restaurant" so I gave it a go. It was atrocious. It turned out that they had already had two reviews stating this in the previous week, but the website doesn't show that a restaurant has been reviewed until they receive 5 reviews.
I got a refund, but they wanted the food back. I obliged, but very nearly lost my refund as the food was returned in an "unusable" state. Eep!

They never used to charge for card payments. Really peed me off when they started. I usually pay by cash now as their payment system & charges are a pain

how can you be sure that they dont have my money? i certainly dont have it and it has left my bank account? and also as the agent said this happens quite regularly to them so surely this is not a good thing? i bank with Natwest - i am on the phone to them now.
And also MammaMoo says that this has happened several times to her - nsurely people dont think that that constitutes good service?

In your first post you state you get paid Monday, if its by BACS, with NatWest if the payment should go in on Monday you can access it on Saturdays.

Oh my good lord!! Whereabouts is it? If it's in a large city in the SW of UK, please let me know the name of that establishment...
