My brother flew to Dublin on Saturday for the day, no problem flying out, but when he returned he was told there was a problem with his booking being made with a false code and he was charged full price to return.

Oh dear...how much did he have to pay on the return leg of the journey?

THE FLIGHTS I HAVE BOOKED (AS PREVIOUSLY POSTED ABOVE!) DO NOT SEEM TO BE THE 'FREE' ONES. FLIGHTS START AT 1P. (sorry caps!) Some 49p/79p etc. How can they not honour them?

They are probably all gonna let us fly out then make us pay the full fare on the return leg as we wont have much other choice!!!

As a matter of interest... I just went to the Ryan Air website. (https://www.ryanair.com) to find some information. On the front page is a link for the 'free flights'. I read the info, all seems fine. However having 5 kids under 8 I do not really want to turn up and have it all go wrong. So I decided to see how much the flights would have been without the link provided.
So out of interest on the front page (the main front page) to the left hand side is a place to input destination/flying from dates etc. I input the date I have booked (previously paid for 2 adults 5 kids following previous link in post 128) and the return I have booked Bristol-Dublin. I clicked on 'search cheap flights' It lead to me flights that cost 1p. Exactly what I purchased-but without inputing any previous info or details. The cheap flights I was offered were a penny.
    Plus taxes though, right?

Oh I see what you mean about taxes-surely you could just pay the taxes?

Well I just checked the taxes and they are so minimal for 2/3 travelling (for me with 7 it's quite a difference!)

Scared now wish I had just paid through the normal way. Still so cheap. If I get charged full fare for all 7 coming back it'll cripple us!

    Can I cancel?

But, if you do what I said above, it has nothing to do with codes or anything!!!! You just input the dates you want cheap flights for and it will give you offers for 1p.

They always offer 1p flights.. PLUS TAXES..

This OFFER was about not having to pay taxes thereforeonly paying 1p.

So if u pay 1p plus taxes.. your jst doing what all the customers do.. therefore this thread and any probs will not be relevant to you and you need not worry..x

The travel period for the free flights promotion only starts tomorrow ("Travel Period: 15 Jan 07 - 08 Feb 07") so your brother's problem is unrelated. Let's see if anyone reports any problems tomorrow...

    Very well spotted!

I am assuming we won't have any problems using these tickets, but only time will tell..
