Whiskas pouches at Mr T's

Someone had just cleared the shelf at Se@croft but i found one right on the top shelf with the extra stock
. My little kitty will be very pleased.
I had a call from Tesco ordering CS at lunchtime - in response to my email to them.
They said they removed the item from my order as the price ON-LINE was wrong, blah, blah, blah.....
I let him ramble on and then said, "Oh, that sounds completely understandable..... but how do you explain the fact that they were selling them at that exact price in store, so how can it have been a mistake?"
Moments pause, and he repeated exactly the same 'on-line mistake' rubbish, making no reference what-so-ever to what I had just said about in store price.
First time I have done on-line grocery shopping, yes it was because of this offer price, but it certainly doesn't instill me with a desire to do my normal shopping with them.
If their idea of alternative means they replace the 48 items ordered with 12.
Not much use if I ordered 5 packs of a dozen burger buns for a BBQ.... and they sent one pack of 6 buns.0 -

Oh I know, I was just repeating what she said....she was trying to work out the date so she could say ends the 13th but in the end she just said oh it ends today and goes to £10 tomorrow. Ho hum.0 -
then why is it selling for 13 in mine. very strange company.0

Why the hell woul Tesco think I would want to pay that? They should have called to see if I still wanted the order. The driver said he could have took it back but I would still have to pay the delivery charge for nothing so I kept it, so angry. I also saw the £3.49 price instore in Blackpool
My delivery arrived - no cat food or substitute. I called them as was surprised there was no reference to it on my receipt, and pointed out that I wouldn't have paid the delivery charge for the other small items ordered if I'd known it wouldn't arrive. Was told that there was no sign of it on my account (there is)...and that "it's not that I think you're a liar"...Nice!
I'm not someone who expects them to honour these mistakes, I know we all take a chance, but I do object to not being told that they're not going to be delivered so I have the option to cancel my order.
They have offered to refund the delivery charge for me - misschatterbox why not ask them...0 -

thank you very much OP, I managed to get the last box from the Surr3y Qu4ys Extra yesterday, box was a bit battered but counted that all pouches were there and they cellotaped it up for me at the CS Desk, no SEL for the market produce one only for the fisherman's one which was £13.99.
Took it to price checker and it came up £3.49, asked a staff member if they had anymore and he scanned the barcode and said they should be getting 4 more boxes in that evening.
Went to b3ckt0n store today and got the last 3 on the shelf, SEL stated £13.99 but scanned at £3.490 -
If you take a look online now it states SAVE £3.99 Was £13.99 Now £10.00 valid from tomorrow (14/9/2011) until 11/10/20110 -

Anyone gone to anyone else rather the the ordinary customer service?Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Yes I think we're all being fobbed off with this 'online mistake' rubbish - which is ridiculous as it seems to have been/still be virtually nationwide in stores as well.

I think the £3.49 cat food is meant to be that price. However, they have removed this off line because it is probably costing them more to substitute it for other products. My online order was cancelled probably because there was non of this in my store.0
