  • personally i would be happy with a nice wee cup of tea and being made to feel special - thats more important than expensive gifts in my opinion - We always just make sure we spend our anniversary together and perhaps go to the cinema or watch a dvd etc.

How about a book of vouchers with one to be used each month i.e. a massage, a meal at a specific restaurant, a romantic walk and picnic etc...

That way, it won't cost you anything NOW, but you can spread the cost of the various voucher costs throughout the year.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • thanks for the ideas , i may take her up the multi storey car park as i reckon that has a good view , the kids will be in tow , but if we all alk in it will be free , what do you reckon?

Who said romance was dead? [rhetorical]
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
  • Of course, this anniversary was not known about beforehand and just sprung upon him at the 11th hour.

It beggars belief, it truly does.

I like the vouchers idea, breakfast in bed - toast and tea will do fine - maybe pick a flower for the tray?

weather permitting, walk somwhere - little picnic - made with things u already have in.

    Candle lit bath, soft music.

    Candle lit dinner.

just lots of effort - costs nothing - means a lot.

  • I got an old box and filled it with 100 little pieces of paper, each one had a different reason why I loved him. He loved it, sat in bed reading each one out to me individually (like I didn't know what I had written). I think running a nice bubble bath with candles sounds lovely too
:rotfl: l love this site!! :rotfl:

It's amazing how many OHs don't realise that birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas are quite predictable and can be planned for in advance!

Absolutely, I did the voucher idea taken from ideas on this forum, my OH once gave me a card with cut offs at the bottom that I cut off for each month 'for a dinner with me':DI have done the little love notes with red paper for Valentines, copied some love poems off the internet, used lovely font and printed them off, made home made cards, taken some photos and added them.

Get your best tableware out and sit her down, candles, flowers from the garden, a napkin over your arm and wait on her hand and foot, dress up for it, go to the library and get her fav book.
