Can you make a cake from whats in the house?
Im sure you can make a card?
Write a love letter or poem?
Poundland often have quite good boxes of chocolates along with CDs, DVDs books etc. A photo frame with a picture of you both it in ( even if the frame is old but empty its something you can rehash)
Light some candles, run her a bubbly bath?
Romance can cost you less than £2
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Check the weather, pack up a picnic and go for a moonlight drive to somewhere remote to eat your picnic under the stars. Failing that, just make a fuss of her, run her a bath, cook dinner, put on what she likes to watch on the telly, massage her feet and tell her how much you love and appreciate her.:A

I'm sure your wife knows that you've got no money to buy something but maybe you could just make tomorrow special for her - take her a cup of tea in the morning, do you have any flowers in the garden that you could pick - even a single rose?
If you can't afford a card, why not write her a letter saying how special she is and you're glad you got married.
Do you have the makings of a nice meal, either in the fridge or freezer?
Set the table nicely, with candles if you have them.
Maybe go out somewhere for a walk (unless you live in an urban jungle).
How about getting your wedding album out and sit together going through the photos and reliving your special day.
I think just by remembering and making an effort most women would be touched.
I'd rather have something that cost nothing except a lot of thought than the biggest, most extravagant bouquet of flowers.0 -
Many years ago before OH and I were married and it was one of our first Valentines Days together I was skint but wanted to do something for OH I made a little booklet of 'cheques' for him to 'cash' with me - various things from 'I will wash your car', 'I'll cook your favourite meal', 'I'll let you watch your favourite TV programme and miss mine' to more, ahem, raunchy activities (use your imagination:rotfl:). OH was thrilled and it was really good fun that lasted for many months:DMany lovely wins over the years - thanks to all that post:A0

We celebrated our 15th anniversary this year and didnt really do anything to mark the occasion. I know my hubby loves me and would be cross if he spent money on huge bunches of flowers because we cant afford it. He is a good husband and thats enough. I would rather have a bar of chocolate from the garage when he gets some petrol or a cup of tea when I am tired than expensive romantic gestures.
The fact that you are thinking about it means you care, make her a simple card and tell her how much you love her.0 -
I reckon if that's about as romantic as you get, up a local council run multi story car park to watch the night life in the city with the kids, then you're lucky you get to have an anniversary.bigblackdog wrote: »thanks for the ideas , i may take her up the multi storey car park as i reckon that has a good view , the kids will be in tow , but if we all alk in it will be free , what do you reckon?Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

ahhh how sweet are you, I'm sure she knows you love her.
Why not get her a £2 pic and mix of her fave sweets (the kiddie mix ones). There would be alot of thought in that, as you'd have to know her fave sweets! (I wish my husband would do this for me!!)
Make her a collarge of all the pictures you have taken over the years.
Cook her something nice, with what you already have in the cupboards.0
