It's now 4 weeks since HSBC received my acceptance form and the settlement still hasn't been paid. I called again today to be told they can't give me any further idea when it will be settled (despite being previously told that it should be 15 - 20 working days).
So anyway I've email both the Chief Exec and service quality to see if they can get things moving, let's just say it's frustrating to say the least.
It's now been 11 weeks and two phone calls for me. My original claim went in last July (2010) and was upheld by the adjudicator in September 2010 and escalated to the Ombudsman in February of this year.
They don't give a damn. I have already threatened to return to the FOS and ask them to continue with the escalation and also to take my business elsewhere. I have savings and a current account with them since 1992. Again they really don't care...0 -
Finding HSBC to be a total drag. They finally called me with no useful info today. They were over joyed to say they had complied with the Data Protection Act due to the the loan starting more than 6 years ago. Sick of hearing about them being inundated. They eventually admitted that they had not even looked at my case yet and its been in 12 weeks !!!!!!.
I have my paperwork ready just to send to FOS at week 16.0 -
Mine went in today 10 working days exactly.0

E-mailed twice to CEO, no acknowledgement after first one but postal response after 2nd saying they are looking into it.
My acceptance form gave the option to choose what bank account I wanted the settlement to be paid into even though loan still outstanding with them through MBC
6 week deadline passes on Sat which they stated in the acceptance letter is whereby the offer closes.
Hate playing the waiting game seen as though we've been waiting one of the longest
I FEEL LIKE I AM GOING INSANE!!!
Got RSI from checking online banking!! Surely this is not right, initial claim goes back to May 2010....and it's day 37 since sent back acceptance letter :mad::mad::mad:0 -

Hello,
Anybody returned a HSBC acceptance letter in Decemeber? I returned on the 13th of Dec and had my loan closed on the 28th but no refund of the balance of the claim yet:(.
How are others getting on?

Mangaged to speak to somebody today. Payment has now been 'processed' but will take a further 5-10 working days.0
