AFAIK, OSF2 is more difficult to unlock than OSF. Probably even impossible without breaking the warranty.
IIRC, my sone used http://android.modaco.com/topic/349128-how-to-rooting-unlocking-and-de-branding-your-zte-crescent-updated-now-complete/ to unlock and debrand Vivacity.
  • I have an iPad and it really is very lovely. Only had it a week.

Yes I made a start with this http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Learn-giffgaff-Top-Tips/GUIDE-How-to-Unlock-Orange-San-Francisco-II-For-Dummies/td-p/2880715 but there were all sorts of issues with things not working as the author described. And people at the end of the thread are complaining about problems. Think I'll have to switch to orange.

There was a craze for gmail and now there's a craze for iphone. Any smartphone will do what you want but if you're into apps then iphone seems to be it as even Lidl does one now !

    There are cheaper options:
    chitter-chatter: 100+100+500Mb/unltd for £6/month
    talkmobile: 25+50+£0.26/day for £1/month
    vectone: 30+30+30Mb for £1/month

None of them really an improvement. I get 500Mb from tescos for £5. I doubt whether 30Mb from vectone would be enough. talkmobile is £8/month if I want Internet. chitter-chatter might be cheaper at £6 including calls but I make very few calls on my mobile, so I doubt it.

... I finally got around to looking at this. On my old mobile phone I was spending about £40/year with Tesco. If I now start accessing the Internet with my phone and I don't have any package in place I understand from Tescos that it will cost me 60p/MB. A MB is about ten pages, so, given that wifi is so readily available I reckon I'd use about one MB/week in places where I couldn't get wifi. That means my phone cost goes up to £70/year - still less than the giffgaff unlimited Internet option at £120/year. So it seems fine to stay as I am.

Wow! It took you almost a year. Chitter-Chatter isn't competitive anymore.
Things change. 500Mb for £5 is not bad if you don't make any calls. However, now you can get 200m+500Mb for free. Search for Ovivo if this is of any interest to you.

Yes, shows what a priority this is. Anyway thanks for the tip. I might give Ovivo a try if they're still around (in a year;)).
