hello
T he party went really well, was absolutly hectic, we had around 40 or s peple there in teh end, some i didnt even know were coming they just turned up on the dor
caleb throughly enjoyed making cupcakes with boogey icing and jelly worms.
i the end he raised a total of £143, that included ticket sales and raffle tickets.
all in all it was a fatastic evening and definatly think we would organise it again
.
we are just in the process of (still) collecting the last of his sponsership money, then we shall be sending the cheque to save the children, for a grand total of £300 (thats the £152 from sponsors and the £143 for the party) thats doesnt include the just giving donations thats an extra £45.
we are in the process of moving house so fundraising has been put on holdi know caleb wants to do more and i think we have some smaller things he can do such as christmas ornanments and mince pies.
I have also been inspired to do even mre, i hope t set up a fundraising comittee so we can maybe organise more things.
I'M so glad caleb chose save the children, they do some amazing work in 120 countries including the u.k, a capaign they are running in the u.k is affordable childcare fr all which i know is a huge issue for some parents going to work myself included.
1 IN 8 children in the U.K are livig n poverty, save the children want to stop that and myself and son want to help them.
yes i know we cant change the world but we ca go a little way t helping make childrens lives better0 -
this afternoon me and the boys (i have a 2 yr old too) are going to make christmas tree decs, red glitter stars. they will be made from salt dough and glazed with PVA so doesnt cost us anything as all the stuff is lying around the house.
he hopes to sell them at school and maybe a christmas fayre near us. he got a little upset when i told him we had to wait till after the move to do it, so i thought we could do this as its a great way to spend some time together and pass away the hours
we will be selling them (probably) for £1 each.0
