I don't want to be stressed about too much at once, so am leaving the dress until the big decisions have been made.

I'll leave the dress search until late October or November - it'll allow time for me to lose a stone, hopefully

Is your wedding spring 2012? The dress shop ladies told me that it takes 6 months for dresses to come in and then allow 2 months for alterations. Sounds like scare tactics to me but just letting you know what they said! dress shopping is so much fun, I swear, and is giving mega motivation to lose weight!!! Also, I'm so busy (and buzzing) right now that i have less time to eat!

I am getting married in April 2012 and went dress shopping in July. All the shops told me I was cutting it fine to get a dress made in time for alterations. I'm not sure if they just say that to get an order from you there and then or not but I didn't cave until I found the perfect dress. Now just have to wait for it to arrive trying all the dresses on is so much fun! I did find that putting my normal clothes back on that they seem so dull afterwards though!

What dress did you go for in the end?

Went dress shopping with my mum, am now also in love with 2 La Sposa dresses - will post pics ASAP.

I have loved all 4 dresses you have linked, have to say I think the last one is my favourite!! Have no idea how you will choose though as they are all so lovely.

Me neither, I just love them all!!! I am so indecisive lol. I love vintage style dresses, and adore lace. My dress will definitely incorporate lace. The last one is beautiful on, and very Grace Kelly (my style icon).

I went for a Grecian style dress with some lovely beading on it (would say more but know OH has been known to look on here! heehee). I love it and my mum cried when she saw me in it

If you like Grace Kelly, Maggie Sottero does a lovely dress called Grace Kelly (don't think I can post links yet as I am too new) that might be worth looking at. I tried a few Maggie dresses on and they are beautifully made with brilliant support.

I am a soppy type, but I don't think my mum or I will cry when I find The Dress, although you never know lol! But I will try not to expect it to happen in case it puts me off the perfect dress iykwim?
